I use AVG Free on both my computers. I used to use Norton Free but it took way too long to load when I would boot up the computer, so I switched. Best decision of my life.

Ok maybe not the BEST decision.

I use Comodo internet security. It comes with a virus scanner that's pretty effective. I've used AVG in the past but the thing never agreed with my machine for some reason.

Use AVG. It does the job.
...If you can't buy anything else. In my experience kaspersky is the best out there..and.. In my experience again...It's pretty cheap

But on a serious note, norton always = win!
(I still say norton acts more like a virus than an anti: it slows your computer down by sapping its resources and is a ***** to get rid of -.-)

Avast free version. Works extremely well for me, and it has helped clean my PC of crap that Norton, when I had that, could never find on numerous occasions.

Dont have a mac and never really used one here but am curious: Do AV software operate the same on a mac as they do on a PC?

I use Avast! Malwarebytes and Spybot Search and Destroy.
It's a really good combo. C:

What do you guys think of Kaspersky?
It blocked Americas Army for years, that *****. But then they updated it and it works fine. My dad bought me a 3 year subscription so I use it. It's the only AV program I've used in the last 6-7 years.

AVG misses a ton of stuff, but it does alright. I use Avira, switched from AVG. Really, most people don't need an antivirus unless they download stupid shit.
