It doesn't matter if it's just individual action, which companies have you sworn never to give your custom again?

I'm outright refusing to touch anything from Facebook, PayPal, News Corporation (except 20th century FOX studios), and Zynga. Apple, EA, and Activision sit in the "I won't buy anything unless it's really good" category.

The only company I've ever "boycotted" is RACV. Its a company I paid good money to get roadside assistance for when your car breaks down etc. Middle of the day I called up, they didnt arrive for 3 hours. missed a job interview. I was absolutely raging at the guy when he finally showed up. After he replaced the battery that was causing the issue, told him to cancel my membership.

...suprised there's no EA or Bioware rage yet. On that topic EA are scummy douchebags, but I wouldn't go so far as to completely "boycott" them

I've never personally boycotted any specific soft(hard)ware company, but they're a few that I'm reluctant to buy products from. Sega and the Creative assembly come first to mind, but EA and Apple are never too far behind.

Chik-fil-a. For being bigots.

EA perhaps, for making crappy games; if they make a good game for which I do NOT need Origin, I might buy from them again.

Wargaming (World of Tanks), for the time being, because they screwed me out of $15.

I guess EA because I don't agree with their business practices, although the only game I consider buying from them are FIFA games but then I wouldn't buy them because I feel that would be supporting FIFA an organisation that has time and time again proven to be massively corrupt.

Not so much really, I don't buy FPSs..but I don't like FPS so I don't think it counts as Boycotting if you don't actually want the product.

As a general rule right now, I don't buy from EA or Activision. Ubioft used to be on the list as well. But even a game being good isn't enough to get me to buy them from any of these companies. They could be selling the greatest game ever made, but if they include things like on-disc DLC, intrusive or always on-line DRM, that sort of thing, I will skip it. But while I used to take a much harder line on never buying from them if they do something stupid, I've softened a bit in that if a company I don't like makes a game which interests me and where I can find absolutely no fault with the business model or strategies they're using for it, I will pick it up.

I want my money to go to these companies when they happen to get something right because I want to encourage them to keep it up.

PayPal likes to freeze accounts for little or no reason at all. And the complaints process is horrendous. It is not a company I want to deal with ever. It shouldn't be allowed anywhere near money.

I am seriously debating boycotting LucasArts for unethical internal business practices. As for companies like EA, Ubisoft and Activision? I pick my battles with those guys and don't actively boycott. I don't like them but if I can get a good game out of them without getting screwed I will.

Hmmm, I have had no such trouble yet and I've had paypal for a couple years now.

OT: Let's see....

I refuse to purchase EA titles, just because they generally suck compared to alot of the stuff I can find cheaper on GoG.com, the online pass system is a shambles (My dead space 2 didn't work and customer service was shit so I just asked for a refund).

They're just shit!

Hmmmm, I don't actively dislike any other companies, I won't really buy from KFC, Mcdonalds, burger king etc, that's simply because I'm vegetarian.

Nope, I haven't had any company do anything to me personally to warrant a boycott. Sure, there's been news involving companies that may make me look worse upon them, but I don't actively boycott any particular one.

I have never purchased an Apple product, and never will. Their business practice, the overpriced products, and the extremely closed systems they use make sure of that.

I don't have a boycott list as such, it?s more of a "avoid like the plague if I can list"

Reasoning varies form:

Crap DRM: Ubisoft, Blizzard, EA

Some services unavailable in my country: Amazon

Useless expensive closed system: Apple

Recent string of poor quality work: Bioware

General dickery: EA

Others companies like Fox News I only watch for laughs and occasionally to get depressed.

Only really EA.

I know there are companies out there that do worse things, but EA has done the most that offends me personally. Maybe that makes me a bad person. I don't know.
