I'm happy with my overall life, and I tend to be a happy person. However, the past few months I've been terribly unhappy. I guess everything relative.

Overall: Happy
Situation: Not at all

A simple question, with such complex connotations. Are you happy with your life? You can take this question many ways.

As for me, I'm very happy.
I am. I have worked for everything I have in my life. I have a steady job, a pair of working cars, a loving girlfriend, and mountains of supporting, amazing friends. Even if the past few weeks have sucked royally, I have made it out okay, and continue to go strong towards spreading joy and happiness to anyone and everyone I meet. ♥
This, except I don't have a job, a car, or a girlfriend. It's all still going great though.

eh, happiness is subjective which goes up and down. But just to be optimistic, let's say I am happy in general.

I'm fuckin "gay as a diasy" (soory playin a lot of fallout lately.) We just kicked ass in soccer, im passing all my classes with colours that fly, and i have a sweet computer. So yeah im content
And you have a sweet-ass avatar on The Escapist! ;D

OT: I'm neutral right now. I'm entering the stage of my life where I get to make the first few important decisions about the rest of my life and when I'm not making decisions, I'm trying to keep my social life going, while tending my studies.

In short, I like it, but I don't run around smiling because my life is so awesome.
That has yet to come... Did I mention that I'm tryin' to get a girlfriend?

Yeah, I'm happy. I just look at life this way: thank god that I was born into a family that has enough money to keep me alive and loves me. I have more than one friend, I can do what I love to do (ie: play soccer, play cello, etc.), my grades are in the A's and B's while still being in honors. As long as I don't do something extremely stupid, I will be happy for the rest of my life. Just keep happy. If it doesn't work, go listen to some uplifting music! (Linkin Park doesn't count, that is just good music [except for minutes to midnight, that just sucked!]). Stay optimistic guys!

Short answer: Yes.

If people actually want to know the full answer, I can share, but for now "yes" is all you get :p

Well, the grass is still green and the sky is still blue, not much to complain about, are there things I wish I could of done differently most certainly, but, if I lived in the past instead of the present I would be miserable. So yes, I'm happy.

That's somewhat easy. My life is, 'meh'

Could be better, could be worst, stable, a tad too stable, so it's incredibly boring from time to time, and stable on a downhill slope. So if 'meh' is the equivalent of a 0 in math, my life is at the limit of -meh. Hopefully soon enough it will go to +meh, shouldn't be too hard I guess.

So am I 'happy'? no. Am I picky, probably, I mean, as I said higher, it's more of a meh.

Oh fine since you asked.

I was brought up with a comfortable living with a loving family. I had a good education. I have a few really good friends and more than enough (for me) decent ones. I have a job in the general field that I want with many more pros than cons. I'm making enough money that I could support myself reasonably but can live at home to save up for a while.

More important than that is that I can still manage to find childlike amusement and genuine joy out of a lot of simple things in life.

The few things I don't have that I would like (a girlfriend, some other hobbies, etc) are not things I need to be happy and at this point is entirely in my hands to achieve anyway.

I like where my life is and I like where I can see it going. It would take a lot, or at least something really big, for me to say that I am not happy.

Bah! Bah, I say! Happiness is for chumps who can't make an honest commitment to misery.

100%

But I must qualify that it took a lot of effort to get where I am. Nine years, to put it in perspective. Nine years ago, I made the vow that I would take my family (wife and then unborn son) out of the horrible country we were in, and into a safe place, permanently. A major task if there ever was one.

In a few months, we close this journey, as we become Australian citizens. Australia has been good to us beyond all our expectations.

I'm happy with the future direction of my life, but "happy" isn't the word I'd use to describe my life now. Contented, yes. Optimistic, absolutely. But happy? That comes later.
Huh, I've always considered contented to come after happy. But I suppose that's something that varies from person to person.

As for me, I think I'm also heading in a great direction, but I haven't reached the point yet where I'm completely happy. Though, I'm more happy than anything else, and it's been quite some time since I've felt like this.
