Its going pretty well. I have one semester left of grad school and a 70K+ a year job waiting for me when I'm done. It would be nice to have a girlfriend though.

I'll be much happier come next Wednesday when I don't have an enormous workload, and hopefully I'll know what's going on with me and the lass, both of which are making me pretty depressed at the moment. I'm opening the wine now.

Well, my girlfriend just broke up with me. So no, no I am not. But between the months of May and August I was very happy. Before that I was content, but not happy. And before that I was edgy and anxious, which is where I'm back to now.

Relatively. I'm content with my lot in life at the moment, but I'll be much happier when I get into college. Any college. Once the whole god awful process is over, I'll be perfectly content.

I'm married to a woman I've been with for almost 7 years and love dearly. I recently took on a great job earning good money. I have a few good friends. My lifestyle suits me.

I'm not rich but I'm not poor. I'm not surrounded by loved onces but I'm not lonely. I am in good health. I enjoy my life. I have my ups and downs but I'm happy more than I'm unhappy.

But I must qualify that it took a lot of effort to get where I am. Nine years, to put it in perspective. Nine years ago, I made the vow that I would take my family (wife and then unborn son) out of the horrible country we were in, and into a safe place, permanently. A major task if there ever was one.

In a few months, we close this journey, as we become Australian citizens. Australia has been good to us beyond all our expectations.
Hey, congrats on your move to the great down under. Whereabouts are you located now? Just out of curiousity.

Meh. I'm not really ever happy or sad, usually just kinda lukewarm. Though, I read (sorta) a story lately whose ending made me happy and depressed at the same time, so I'm all messed up for the time being, heh. Still not sure why it affected me so profoundly...

Well, I would say I'm relatively happy with my life at the moment. But there are some things that could be better, like my job, for instance. I just have to see what I can do.

I'm happy with the future direction of my life, but "happy" isn't the word I'd use to describe my life now. Contented, yes. Optimistic, absolutely. But happy? That comes later.
Huh, I've always considered contented to come after happy. But I suppose that's something that varies from person to person.

As for me, I think I'm also heading in a great direction, but I haven't reached the point yet where I'm completely happy. Though, I'm more happy than anything else, and it's been quite some time since I've felt like this.
I tend to think of "content" along a continuum like in a Civ-style game, where there's "angry", "content", and "happy" levels for citizens.

Yea I'm happy I have a good number of friends, nice collection of video games, grades are pretty high, so overall I'm enjoying my life. All I need is a girlfriend.

Happiness is certainly relative, I have my range, but I'd definitely call my general situation and where I'm at in life "happy," I don't have everything I want but that's not clouding me like it has in the past and a brighter outlook has made everything better once I started trying it.
