hmmm, well at this very moment in time im pretty average on my "happiness scale". I cant help but feel like a machine though going though day after day of boring old stuff. Nothing interesting happens in my life and anything that other people like to call interesting is on the news and hunreds of miles away thus not effecting me in the slightest.

Other people dont help either, i try and make interesting conversations with people i know and people i dont know but they're usualy just as boring as my life feels.

I try and meet new and interesting people but to no avail.

so yeah that sums it all up.

Absolutely, I'm only here for another 80 so years, so why be depressed all the time?
Ha, optimism has put me in some bad situations lately.

Hell yeah. I'm a student in high school with stellar grades (4.5 GPA) and extremely good PSAT scores. I don't have a job and my day-to-day activities are generally
1. Go to school - Learn stuff that's actually interesting in engineering and physics classes and nod at appropriate times in all the other ones, while talking to my friends.
2. Hang out/chat with my girlfriend
3. Play video games/read/watch anime/bum around on youtube
4. Do homework
5. Play video games/read/watch anime/bum around on youtube
Yeah, life's really unfair >_>

One should not be ungrateful but at the same time one should not settle but instead strive for a better life.

I am grateful and content with what I have and how my life is but I believe I can do better and hope to do so.

Erm... aside from my anxiety, which affects it pretty drastically, my life's pretty good right now. I wouldn't say I'm happy with it since I still want to graduate and leave home already, but I really can't complain about many external factors, aside from a completely apathetic mother.

I'm kind of bipolar (not in a disorder-y way.) Every day seems to be kind of awful and kind of great. I don't have a lot to really complain about but I'm not close enough to where I want to be to say I'm completely happy. There's a lot I'd like to change that... are mostly things I've struggled with for years, but I'm here, I'm young, I'm pretty healthy and I'm able to sit here freely typing what I want. Pretty sweet deal.

Give me time, and I'll build something decent out of my little life. I'm sure.

Sure, I'm happy with my life. Going to college and doing impossible classes with little enthusiasm, hearing my family tell stories of amazing places and events, witnessing classmates talking great plans of the future, sitting here at my desk in my dorm without a girlfriend typing my response to this topic...

::curls up in a corner and sobs:: WAAAAAAAAAAAA!! Why am I left out of all the cool situations?! I've even been left out of something all because I was too young to remember anything about it! Born in Oxford, England; lived in Japan; been to Hawaii; and even did something that created a scar on my forehead: I don't remember a damn thing!

::sighs:: Anywho...it's been wonderful! ::twitch::

lately..not really. but life sucks. so deal with it, it'll work out somewhere, then it'll get down again, but life is a rollercoaster. you learn and eventually you become generally always happy. just hang in there...

Mediocre really. I have a job, but im looking for a new one. No luck on that front though.

What I really need to do is find some direction in my life. I have no idea what I want to do, and its annoying me. Id say im optimistic for the future, but that relys on me being proactive,so i mostly need to sort myself out.

I'm happy with the direction in which it is going; Had you asked me 2 months ago, I would've said no. For the moment, I'm happy with where I'm at right now because I know it'll get better

Sort of, I suppose.
I'm happy that I'm in relatively good health, am a year away from having amazing job opprotunities, but am pretty sad that I'm almost done with College and will have around $100,000 in loans to pay off once I'm thrust into the real world. The sense of losing my last shred of "child-like" innocence is also fairly disheartening.
Overall though, its nice to have these kinds of things as my biggest worries, and not anything life threatening.

The name of this website is the ESCAPIST.

People who play video games tend to be escapists.

Escapists are trying to escape their shitty lives.

Life is shitty...

buuut

Once you get over that stuff and realize that it's the same for everyone life isn't so bad, and I'd say I'm pretty happy.
