You do realise (in the book at least) she was drugged or hypnotised (or both i forget) into being his accomplice/lover? Im not saying it wasn't dumb because it was, but she didnt willingly accompany him.
At first, she was drugged. Later on, in the final chapter, when Clarice and Hannibal are attending the opera a few years later, it mentions that drugs now play no role in their relationship.
Hmm, i dont have the book anymore so i cant check that but i'm sure she was hypnotized somehow, with some sound (connected to the sound of a crossbow) being the sound that would set her free?

If i'm wrong about this then i totally agree the ending sucks balls...

Gantz.

The manga fizzled out looooong before it ended, but if the stupid alien war that went on for like 150 chapters were its death throes, the final chapter was the bowel discharge that signaled its final demise. They beat up the final alien bad guy (who was just some mook and had no lines of dialogue whatsoever), the ship explodes, two of the series' dozens of characters and no others talk some random shit while floating in the sea, and then just wash ashore for a "happy ever after" ending. Nothing gets wrapped up, nothing is discussed, nothing is revealed and the manga just ends after 378 eight chapters like hitting a concrete wall at Mach 1,5.

The Road. It practically screams ?editorial interference?, because it comes out of nowhere and goes against what the entirety of the book was about.

Saw III. That was the point in the franchise where I said, ?OK, y?know what? Fuck this.? It?s just nonsensical, nihilistic gore without an ounce of character realism or genuine horror in it.

Knowing. The obligatory response in a thread like this. Just?fuck that alien bullshit, with its pretentious, half-arsed religious symbolism shoved in.

The Dark Knight. I know people have already said this, but?yeah, it would?ve been much less stupid to just pin Dent?s death on the Joker, since he?s been, y?know, killing shitloads of people for the heck of it throughout the entire film. But whatever, ?live long enough to see yourself become the villain?, bleh?

The Dark Knight Rises. Yeahhhhh, with this ending and the previous film?s ending, it makes me think Batman Begins was the only film where Nolan truly got Batman. Bane was awful with his stupid fucking voice, as was the dumbass twist that it was Talia who was the mastermind behind the whole plot, and then ?LOL 60s movie throwback, Batman dies, oh wait NO HE?S IN PARIS OR SOME SHIT WITH FRICKIN? SELINA KYLE?. It?s good that the minute I stopped being sick of Batman, the Gotham TV series was announced, so I can watch that and then get sick of this angst-ridden rich boy all over again.

Pretty much every Professor Layton ending has made me at the very least think "okay seriously, what the fuck?" Granted, they're still kinda entertaining and fit the series, but the end of the first game was basically "they're all robots" and the second game was "everybody was high on weird fumes", and the third one was pretty convoluted if memory serves, with them claiming that someone built an entire futuristic London directly under present day London and was populated with paid actors just to bring the Professor there and make him think he traveled time because reasons, and then they go on to establish that time travel kinda sorta did happen anyway, but only with partial success. They're fun, but they're still pretty beyond ridiculous.

Return of the Jedi Remastered; CGI'ing Hayden in makes no logical sense.

Revenge of the Sith; Padme is shown giving birth to Luke & Leia with them explaining Anakin is the father. This robs the ending of Empire Strikes Back of all it's emotional impact.
true for cgi'ing Hayden, it was a bad idea.

But for the rest, i discover that the optimal vewing sequence for Star wars is 4-5-1-2-3-6. You get all the surprises from star wars and empire strick back, then since at the end of empire you know that darth vader is luke father, you flashback to know him better, see why he have turned, then foward to return of the jedi, so that you can follow the end of darth vader life with the full knowledge of what he's been through...

I am now going to cannonball (I hate the term 'binging', so negative) all 6 movies, just to see if you are right.

Kill La Kill. I know it wasn't even trying to make sense, but even so. The sequence of events in the final episode is the worst thing, it's back to back SETUP -> CONTRADICTION combos, combined with 0 satisfying fights.
Okay so first the shinra kotetsu paralyzes [good clothes], because he's clothes (can't remember his name)
Then he stops being paralyzed because he decides he isn't clothes.
Then they cut the shinra kotetsu in half.
Then they power up (massively, supposedly) and fly to space, and are no longer able to cut the shinra kotetsu at all.
And during this, all the main villains commit suicide (straight up, both of the established 'big-bads' kill themselves unequivocally) so they can go home and watch jojo.

It was a ridiculously weak ending for an otherwise alright series, and left such a bad taste in my mouth that I wouldn't be interested in a rewatch or continuation at all.

Man of Steel - Gosh you're awfully cheerful after what's just happened Cal.

In all seriousness, though, Sucker Punch (seeing as I watched it last night). And by ending I don't mean the last ten minutes or whatever, I refer to the final scene with the bus. Sweat Pea gets away thanks to the Bus Driver who is nice enough to get the police off her back so she can be free. Yes, very heartwarming and the Bus Driver is played by the same person as the coach (the only male character to not be aggressive towards the girls).

...

But! The Bus Driver has no reason to do this. He doesn't know who she is, he doesn't know why she doesn't have a ticket or what's going on. He's just a swell fella' I guess. It's symbolism and metaphor trumping basic logic.
It's because that never really happens, it's jut Baby Doll imagining what Sweat Pea's life will be like on the outside, the whole film is basically Baby Doll creating an imaginary reality in her own head to escape the abuse she suffers at the hands of blue and the rest. And it ends when she gets lobotomized because she doesn't care about anything anymore. There's some really dark themes in Sucker Punch and I remember coming away from it feeling a bit uncomfortable and I couldn't figure out why until i really sat down and thought about it.

Incidentally, what did you think of the soundtrack? I thought it was awesome and they did an amazing job, but i have a friend who hates it, just curious.

Snipping this business.
Most of it was forgettable to me, some scenes had some fitting stuff going on but besides the few times they darkened the fuck out of some well known songs I just didn't register it (the Sweet Dreams cover at the beginning was quite nice). To be fair, I do the same thing with most films, including those I like (Maleficent had music besides that Lana Del Ray cover? I can't remember.)
