Online, I'm a complete ass, I think cuz people are less sensitive online as they are in real life. Can't give anyone grief irl or they'll kill you or get everyone to hate you....or kill themselves.

in singleplayer games though, I generally am a good guy, only do bad to see how it is, but always good first.
What? I don't even....

I just don't understand that logic...

OT: I am as nice as I am in real life. I will get along with you fine, so long as you aren't starting trouble (or looking to start trouble).
I mean, I can't make a joke about anything! Everyone is so sensitive in real life. I grew up assaulted and attacked, and I never cried like a baby to some big government daddy and asked for them to be put away in jail.

I'm just saying, if I want to make a simple joke, it'll offend someone, anyone. No matter the content, it'll offend someone.

it depends on the game, usually im super laid back and dont have a care in the world for anything or anyone, their business is their own. but like you said in COD or a few other games..my.god. my blood can boil at times. i will go 28-2 for 3 rounds straight but i will still get just as hulk angry as if i went 3-17.

Yes, on online games, definitely. I can be a total douchebag, and I often feel bad about it after, lol. However in Singleplayer games where I have a choice to be good or bad (Fallout, Baldur's Gate etc.) I can't bear to be bad.

So games bring out the best and the worst in me...maybe this means I should only play Singleplayer games....

I don't really play multiplayer, and I assume that's what you're getting at. But I do enjoy dicking around with NPCs. I tell you, I'm never going to get tired of frenzying someone in Oblivion and watching the entire town gang up on this person, or starting a war between guards. Hilarity.

it really depends on the game. and even in the same game, i sometimes have different files with different amounts of assholeishness. i like to role play my characters, not just take the most convenient choices, but the ones they would take. so if my character is an arse, then i'll be an arse, but if my character is nice, i'll be nice.

I'm mostly nice online and real life, but I don't take anyone's bullshit.
In singleplayer, however, I try to shoot whatever catches my eye: people, windows, someone's dog, bottles, etc. It's just too much fun! Really brings out the ***** in me.
In moral choice games, I tend to keep it in the flavor of 'mean greedy ***** with a flexible moral code'.

I'm the first to admit I'm kinda dickish in real life, my experiences playing online however are completely opposite. I've always tried to be a team player, Ghostbusters on Live is a perfect example.

I'm a vegetarian - don't eat any kind of animal, not even fish, can't stand animal cruelty etc. I recently discovered Red Dead Redemption (which, by the way, I think may be one of the finest games ever made), and guess what my favourite activity was? That's right: hunting. Just heading out into the wilderness and killing me some cayote. Shooting birds right out of the air. Taking potshots at NPCs' horses for fun. First time I killed a dog, I was actually furious that it was considered a crime.

There's always a difference between who you are in videogames and in real life; you all know that. Reason I bring up my RDR rabbit murdering habit is because it's such a complete reversal of who I am. But it is slightly off-topic, in the sense that we're talking specifically about how your real life behaviour changes when you're playing games.

One thing I've noticed is that, on the rare occasions when I play multiplayer games, I get less frustrated than I might playing alone. This might be because I'm in company, but I'm not entirely sure; I seem genuinely less bothered about winning, or even playing well (apart from the possibility of embarrassing myself, I guess) when I'm up against real life people. Besides, I can get pretty angry playing solo in front of other people.

That's in competitive multiplayer games, though. I'm rather ashamed to admit that...well, you know that asshole who gets annoyed with you for not doing well in co-operative game modes? I'm one of those.
