On the anonymity note, I've basically revealed where my high school is on more than one occasion. I never exactly felt the need to separate my online and IRL personas.

As for my behavior, I'm an anomaly in that I'm nicer online. Part of it is a) my fear/respect of mod rules, and b) my snarkiness works much better on-the-spot and spoken.

No way I am a total badass in real life mere words cannot describe my awesomeness and I gets all the ladies. (translation: I am a total smart-ass :p)

The only real difference between the real me and the online me is the extent that I communicate with others. I am *way* more introverted in the real world than I am on any forum website. That's basically the only real difference, though I understand that it is quite a large one.

As far as me using anonymity... i'm really not at liberty to say. ;)

I have no reason to be anyone else. The internet is one of only so many places I can be my nerdy self and talk to people that actually get it. Besides, Thaius is my name for pretty much all online activities, even my pen name. It wouldn't be a good idea to tarnish the name.

Oh absolutely, I just have more time to phrase things in a way that is more clearly understood than just saying it out loud.
By the way I retyped that last sentence three times.

I'm pretty much the same in and out of the net. Hell, I even use my nickname as my account name.

I am myself. At least as far as I can tell.

But here's the real question. Are you really yourself in real life?

Yes i am myself. If you asked me the same question in real life i would give you the same crappy answer that i'm giving you now.

I'm pretty much myself. After all, I don't think I'd be able to roleplay another character quite as well.

Pretty much. I get pissed off a lot faster, however, to do inability to punch the other party in the nose for being stupid and slowing down the progress of mankind.

There's a limit of how far I go IRL, but other than that, yeah. I'm pretty much the same.

I would never talk to strangers like I do here. I'm way to shy for that. Now if I was around friends this would be the way I would act all the time.

Sometimes when I'm writing a post I'll start worrying that some people might be offended, then think "fuck it, it's anonymous" and submit. IRL I'd stay quiet.
