Are you suffering from PSN withdrawal?

So the PlayStation Network has been down for a few weeks now as a result of an attack from hackers, and millions of people around the world now live with the fear of credit card fraud and identity theft. While Sony and various authorities around the world have been working hard (presumably) at trying to find out how this happened and who is responsible, we, the gamers, have found ourselves unable to connect ever since.

My question is this:

Disregarding the whole credit/identity theft fiasco, how have you been affected (if at all) by the PSN being down?

Have you been crying in a corner, craddling your PS controller while reminiscing about the "good ol' days" when you could play online shooters and buy DLCs? Has the addiction won out and forced you to convert to Xbox360 to get your dayly fix of online gaming? Did you go "Meh, whatever" and decide to dedicate that free time to something else? Or are you one of those poor unfortunate souls that don't have the pleasure of owning a PS3, and therefore are not at all affected by this? (and if that's the case, why did you even click on this topic to begin with?...)

Personally, I've always been the type of gamer who prefers a good single-player campaign over online gameplay any day, so I'm doing pretty good. I do miss the PS store though...

Time to share, my pretties!! :)

The environment is taking a little bit of a hit due to the PSN being down. Usually I spend a few nights out of the week playing some black ops with a good friend, but since the psn is down I've had to drive over to Scranton (about 8 miles) to make up for it with a little bit of dynasty warriors. Also I've taken some time to ride around in the post-completed red dead redemption world....that's always a good combination of hunting challenges, bounties, and cheating at poker. (Poker is surprisingly easy when you have 3 cards in your hand at any given time)

Literally the only downside of it being down for me is it's tedious to log into netflix without it. While I CAN do it it takes all of 15 seconds longer. Lame.

I really only miss the store, I have maybe one or two online games and that's more of a 'connect with friends service' than anything else.

If someone does break down and buy another console out of withdrawal over no online then i think they may have a little too much money. . .

please donate to poor gamers like myself

Me too, its like a comfort blanket, and no offense, if it was up and running, it be fecking off from all this typing to stare lovingly at my trophies compare list with some lube and tissues.

Only way it's affected me is that my roommate can't play online any more, but frankly he hasn't been playing much lately with finals coming up anyways so....
Nope. Hasn't affected me in the least bit.

Not really. I bought ME2 shortly before it went down, so I've been playing that. That, and my life doesn't revolve around being able to kill noobs on online multiplayer. Although I have a friend that's having some issues with it being down because of that and the fact that he can't get netflix on his PS3.

I have a gf to talk to, forums to roam, and other things to occupy my time.

I kinda don't log into PSN anyway, so I've barely even noticed that it's been down.

=O Oh no! Not 15 seconds!!

Personally, never used it - so I'm not bothered by any of the issues going on around it. Mind you, for those affected, it's like anything else - it's gonna' happen eventually. Yeah, it sucks, but what can you really do about it?

I don't get that. My Netflix has been working just fine, you just have to let it try to connect to PSN, and when it fails, Netflix shows up like normal.

I'm not going to admit that i don't own a life, but it' the old adage of being denied something.
i didn't need or want it that much, until i couldn't have it.

On the bright side, i did go outside for a minute or two.

Since none of my friends own a PS3 (all PCs, and XBOXs), The PSN being down hasn't really effected me at all. The only thing that really bugs me is I can't browse to see if there are any more PS1 games I would want, or some demos I could try out.

Than again, since the info leak, buying more off the PSN would probably be a bad idea. (as of right now, not once it gets brought back up with whatever new security bullshit they'll have)

No. I've never been active in the online game and in the past 2 years I haven't been an active gamer at all. I was still forced to change my credit card because of this debacle, but otherwise it's affecting me very little. My BlOps-addicted sister on the other hand...

Not a lick. Single-Player games are good to have in situations like this.

And I have ones that can last awhile.

I'm slightly annoyed that I can't get Legend of Mana or Threads of Fate, but I'm fine otherwise.

No, not really. Don't need any DLC or anything and there's more than enough on my backlog to finish before I start another PS1 RPG.
