Well people who I knew in High school take me for a person who gives a damn about them.

No real animosity towards them, I've just moved into a new part of my life that they aren't a part of.

As the title says are you usally taken from somebody/something else? It happens to me all the time peapole allways take me for a bonehead (neo-nazi) It's mostly beacose I'm a skinhead (not nazi) and they are nearly always taken for boneheads. It don't disturb me that much beacose I'm used to it but I would prefer looked at me as yust a punker or R.A.S.H that I acculy am (R.A.S.H = Communist skins) But does it ofen does it happen to you and for what/who do they acculy take you for than it happens?
Hmm...

Some people assume because I'm a pretty girl and really nice, I'm 'easy'. Can get annoying when I can shoot down guys like flies. :/
*noted down* don't... underestimate...or...piss...off...Aylaine. Okay I got it

So I guess people take me for a lot smarter than I am. I'm like a little above average and i know a lot of useless trivia, but I'm not super smart.

Like some people here already mentioned. For heaving short hair during the summer and a pair of combat boots, people sometimes compared me with a nazi. But I'm a bit more of a leftist than some might think. If you want to have enough room for yourself in a train, a mohawk is recommendable too! Though I don't have one anymore.
I already have a mohawk (not a big one but still) combat boots and millitary pants or a pair of levi's that I um.... "put up" in the bottom so you see the boots so yeah... I got lot's of room in the bus^^

People usually think I'm Schizophrenic. When they learn what that means, then they can talk to me and use the correct term which isn't even true.

Calumon: Sometimes, some of you call me a rat. : (

Get 'em where it hurts.
Pow! Right in the ego! :D

Well I don't know if I look scary, but I scare children. One time I was getting a lift into town with my girlfriend and her mam, who minds children. There was a 3 year old in the back seat, and when I sat in beside her, she took one look at me and started crying...

I don't warm up to people easily, and it generally takes a while before I actually consider someone to be a friend. By that I mean, I don't have one or two chummy conversations with someone and then start acting like they're a good friend.

Because of this, people have assumed that I'm somewhat of an arrogant asshole. I don't know, I don't see any point in acting like I'm a good friend to someone that I barely know.
I'd imagine something like this for myself. Also, people probably assume I'm always timid and meek, but that's mostly just around strangers. My personal relationships are veryyyy different from those of my acquaintances.

To be honest I don't actually know. I've never noticed people treat me in a particular manner. As a student most people assumed I drank and partied a lot, but then that's more of a stereotype that confusing me for a certain type of person.

If anyone who reads this has met me (or talked or whatever) do you have any assumptions as to what I am?

This has really intrigued me now.

I'm a lightning rod for assmptions. I'm gay, I'm straight, I'm a Democrat and a Republican, I'm a weirdo and normal, I'm dangerous and safe, I'm a hick and and an erudite....

There's a 50% chance people are mistaken. Or given the fact that there are multiple alternatives sometimes, even greater.

People think I'm an idiot just because I look tough. What, a guy can't be brilliant and look good?

Apparently I intimidate people because im tall, and dont talk a lot. But im just scared of new people. I remember when I was doing a survey around town, and my mother told me not to talk to old ladies because I could scare them. It hurt my feelings.

I am considered a drug addict, because I have that "stoned" look and behaviour as the default setting. This is untrue of course. I am merely stoic.

That I am my brother when I answer the phone. Annoying but fair, we sound vaguely similar.

That I smoke pot. I admit, my two brother's and my mom have all smoked pot excessively, but I do not. Just the the smell is enough to give me a massive headache. Doesn't help that the inside part of my eyes, between the pupils and nose are constantly bloodshot. I should get that checked out.... Again, annoying, but whatever.

That, since I suffer from depression, I automatically think about killing myself everyday. This REALLY fucking pisses me off. I value my life more than anything on this damn rock we call our home. I was strangely satisfied when responded to "Are you having any suicidal thoughts?" with "If you ask me that again, I'll kill myself."

Yay irony. *rolls eyes*

Either "fag" from the not very intelligent people I tend to meet on the street, "fucking sociopath" from same people, "lol" to friends and police officers tend to look ate me like I just sold 10 grand worth of heroin to a five year old.

Most commonly I get mistaken for a Stoner despite me never having taken drugs in my life, I think it was something to do with my laid back attitude coupled with my long hair and loose fitting clothing.

Some of the things that have happened due to being mistaken for a stoner:

- When I first went to college my teacher took me out of lesson to ask if I was on drugs and if I needed to see the drugs councillor about it, I of course said I don't take drugs but I have a feeling he didn't believe me.
- I have been pulled out of queues so I could have a 'random' security check done on me, these checks were clearly not random of course because most of the other people being pulled out of the queue were of a certain ethnic minority.
- I've been stopped by the police randomly and asked a couple of questions.

I've gotten a haircut and dress smartly now so hopefully people won't make that mistake any more.

Side note OP your grammar annoys me.

OT: I have never been seen as someone I am not but someone who went to my high school dressed and looked like a Neo-Nazi but apparently he was Jewish which a lot of people thought meant that he wasn't a neo-nazi and was doing it as a joke.

People think I'm a mean person, just because I don't always acknowledge them in a "perfect" way. I act neutral towards people most of the time, but people seem to think of it as negativity.
Yh, I'm pretty much the same way. Also because I have such a neutral look all the time people think I'm depressed and half the time I make a joke, especially over the internet with people that know me in real life, they think I've accidently made a joke or am taking the piss out of them.
