humans often mistake me for an Elf because of my very long hair

No one trusts me that I am 25, most of the time I have to show my ID to prove I am over 18, and that's just ridiculous, cause I don't look THAT young.
And I am always considered "untouchable" and rude cause I don't smile and I don't talk a lot when around people (especially if they ask me a lot of questions).

People who don't know me, like my brothers friends and so on think of me as a nerd because I don't drink myself to death every weekend (which is normal behavior here in Finland) and they think I sit home in front of a computer coding stuff all day long. Many people defend me but some have even experienced it first hand that I am a nice person who doesn't know that much about technical stuff and that I am a long way from their view of a nerd.

I've been mistaken for being much older than I am. When I came to University last year, other students would stop me in the corridor or street to ask questions, thinking that I worked there. People three years older than me refused to believe that I was a freshman.

A slightly crueller one is the constant assumption that I'm a lesbian. People I've never even met ask me out of the blue whether I am. People who do know me jump to conclusions too, I don't know if it's the way I look or act. I'm fairly girly with make-up and long hair... it's confusing

Sometimes, people will think I'm a girl at first glance but then realize I'm a boy when they look a little closer or hear me talk. Can't really blame them for that, what with my long hair and all.

But that's not the annoying thing. What's really annoying is when people think I'm smart because I'm wearing glasses. This happens a lot in school when people want to partner up with me because I'm the one with glasses. It puts a lot of pressure on me and it makes me look like a dumb ass in the end.

People think I'm very smart because of my grades, but that's really not true, I just try very hard. Most of my classmates are waaaay smarter than me, but we get the same grades because they don't give a shirt and I work really hard.

Yeah, I guess I do get mistaken for someone else now and again, namely my twin brother.

No but seriously, people think I'm emotionally unstable because I'm left wing, wear dark clothing and listen to lots of gothic and heavy metal. I'd rather call myself a nerd :)

I'm mexican (mostly), but people usually don't know until I tell them. I guess they assume I'm white. It's usually like "You're MEXICAN?!" Also, a lot of people seem to think I'm gay (I'm not). I guess I just look it, although I do act like it sometimes, so I understand how people can get that impression.

Hmm...

Some people assume because I'm a pretty girl and really nice, I'm 'easy'. Can get annoying when I can shoot down guys like flies. :/
Sounds like you could use some flak cannons :p ... *bad aviation pun i know*

OT: I'm rather tall, a little bit on the heavy side, so people generally just avoid me, my friends all know i'm harmless unprovoked, but no one else seems to get that's i'm just a friendly normal guy.

I certainly don't look like a stereotypical nerd (female, tall, fit, well-dressed). It's actually quite a disadvantage in a way. I'm exposed to a lot of instances where I meet another female, we get along well enough, and inevitably the conversation turns to interests - and most women will be taken off-guard by my "weird" hobbies and there'll be a very obvious uncomfortable moment when they decide that all of a sudden I don't live on their plane of existence and now we have nothing more to talk about. Sometimes they'll say something like, "oh, yeah, my brother likes that stuff...", but you can tell they just feel awkward. And then we never speak again.

In summary, I'm pretty alienated from most of my gender, but because of my appearance it takes them a while to realise it. It can get disheartening.

I look Middle Eastern (I am a Pakistani/Indian born and raised in Zambia) so of course I am a terrorist by default even though I am a very kind and gentle person and I am very calm and a major pacifist (like most of us are). And everybody comes up to me and says "Go back to your sand pit towel head!" (I never have and never will wear a turban) or "Go back to Arabia sand ******!" and many other stupid stereotypes and terrorist jokes that stop having an affect on me a long time ago.

OH FUCK. THIS.

Seriously, loads of people in my family including my parents get me mixed up with my brother and it's incredibly annoying.

Same thing with a friend of mine at my school. Ugh...

Apart from people usually thinking I'm several years younger than I am, no. I'm 21 but fairly often get mistaken for being 15-16.

kinda odd but i get called the dumb jock meathead occasionally, most of the time i wont even be saying anything and if i do it'll be with one of my friends and someone for some god unknown reason decides to butt in and tells me to "shut up meathead" in which i'm nowhere near being a meathead, as i drink maybe once a month, and only a couple when i do, and i am a huge all around gamer =\ and even when i get to know people they act super suprised and "turned off" by the fact that im a big computer gamer person, it gets kinda old after a while.

Well yea, I'd consider myself to be a bit over average, but some of people seem to think that I'm some kind of genius.
