I don't think the world will end... and man am I sick and tired of checking out the TV guide seeing TV shows on the subject, from discussions of the "Mayan Apocalypse" to nutters preparing for when the world ends.

My feelings exactly. I'm sick of TV shows that are just enforcing people to freak out. I knew it was going to happen and I haven't really watched much TV since October, because it's pretty much: How the world will end. How to be prepared to survive an apocalypse. And the most common show, since 2012 started, is the show glorifying the nutjobs who have gone to extreme measures to survive the "absolute and upcoming" apocalyse.

My favorite is the poor family who got luxurious furniture that they normally could not afford, but the only reason they got it was because they won't have to until 2013. Well, their world will end, and by "their world" I mean their house.

I still find that picture insanely funny. xD I've seen it 10 times now.

I've noticed it not being as frosty as it was a few days ago, when we had black ice and everything up here. Does that count?

Also my moods been pretty bad, and that's usually a sign of bad weather. Or that I'm hungry.... Or lack of sleep....

Actually yes, I live in an area where earthquakes are extremely rare & we have had two minor ones in the last month or so. I've lived here for 20 years & can't remember any earthquakes in that time, maybe I just never noticed. The weather has been odd for this time of year too.
Other than that it has been business as usual, no crazies preaching doom in the streets or anything like that. I've thought about doing that myself just for shits & giggles, but knowing my luck I would get arrested for it.

Funny thing it, December 22 is my birthday. if the world does end, I might not live to be 21.

But unless we get a Fallout style nuclear war coming up, I don't see anything coming that's gonna destroy the world in the 21st of this month.

And my mother's birthday, as well. Apparently, my sisters have been teasing her about it for a long time, and I never knew until she posted about it on Facebook, the other day.

All calendars end. And this one in particular was inaccurate. So much so that "2012" already "happened" as "predicted" by the Mayans a long time ago.

Luckily, based upon where I live, I will more than likely survive the ensuing apocalypse, simply due to the large volume of horses within the state. Everyone knows that the apocalypse can be evaded by using horses. They can ride out of anything, even desperation.

I've finished my degree, which took me six years part time, so I'll be nice and happy about that. I might even be a published author. Or I'll win the lottery. Now THAT would be strange. Especially as I haven't bought a ticket or anything.

Other than that, no, nothing strange lately. Just the usual Christmas shopping crowd. And the *employed* aboriginal girl at Pizza Capers. And the fact that I bought only *one* thing from JB Hifi... and it wasn't a DVD or game.
