AILD/ADM frontman Lambesis reportedly ordered an undercover police detective to murder his estranged wife.

What do you think? Seems a lot more sinister and suspicious than the charges raised against Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe.. Not a huge AILD fan, but pretty sad if this is true.. Stuff like this hurts the metal genre.

Most 'Hitmen' are actually cops. Same deal with people who steal artwork to sell back to the highest bidder. Most people 'buying' are actually FBI agents.

Pretty much. Whoever expects to post an ad on Craigslist for a hitman and receive a genuine certified professional Russian should probably be locked up simply to protect them from the real world. There's a reason crime syndicates pay some poor henchman to shoot their guy in the face and sit it out rather than look for a stranger who could or could not but in all likelyhood is an undercover officer.

The closest thing to a risk I'd take if I wanted to order a hit is one of those guys who only advertise on TOR hidden services and only take payment in BitCoin, and even then I'd assume that I was throwing my money away but at least who I was throwing it away *to* couldn't rat me out.

Wouldn't that expose their "hidden" identity?

OT: if you want something done right , you gotta do it yourself .

To prove how little I know about music, I thought this guy was an actor that would star in a movie adaptation of the novel. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay off base I see.

I have no idea what the shit is going on with metal today. This, Allen West (used to be in Obituary) was arrested for running a meth lab, and Frankie from Emmure was electrocuted onstage.

Eh?

I cannot stand AILD. The band is as generic and soulless as Walmart. Some people dig em, but they're not my choice.

Captcha: Hobson's choice. No, they're not Hobson's choice either.

What do you mean? Like, as far as being undercover goes, or...?

I wouldn't mind As I Lay Dying if there was more to the name than the name. They should be called As I Lay Whining.

These days, there are many bands producing sounds out there. The established publishers and channels are failing on all fronts. It's hard to discover something worthwhile these days, and, apart from Youtube (and similar video sites) and random live encounters on stange we're basically back to word-of-mouth and the lending of hard copy data, be that CDs, USB thumbsticks or vinyl.

Eh, I thought they put on a decent show. I thought it was funny how they sound just about identical to Atreyu on album, but seeing them back to back live, AILD made them sound like angry kittens by comparison. They must have a good sound guy.

Also yes, R.I.P. Jeff Hanneman.

Just because of this thread i decided to check them out, not to bad.

But why do people still fall for the old "yes i am a hitman and TOTALLY not a cop" routine?

By now it is on the same level as "congratulations, you have won 10.000 dollars and an Ipad. Press this link to claim your price"

Evil smile: no one will top the evil that is Varg Vikerness from Burzum!!! (and most black metal dudes from Norway back when there was an Inner Circle, but I only remember him stabbing the Mayhem dude to death and setting churches on fire, oh and there's that guitar player or bass player from Emperor that killed another guy with a multiple rock strikes to the head because the guy hit on him... But we STILL buy stuff from Burzum ;) )

I guess this will be a big publicity stunt for them. I for one just learned of their existence.

If the trial's anything like his music, it will be mildly entertaining, but repetitive and lacking in substance.

obviously it's still an "allegation" but you need pretty good evidence to arrest someone for that.

ZING!

Seriously though, there's not much I know about the band, and I really feel nothing but vaguely amused contempt for someone who would try to hire a hitman to kill their spouse/significant other.
