Ash the Pokemon God

I was hangin' with me 5-year-old cousin the other day and I saw that he was watching pokemon. I remembered watching the beginning of the series roughly ten or more years ago, and it seems that ash is still going strong.

My question is, why isn't Ash twenty or something years old? Why is he not at home with little Ash behbehs and bangin' hot chicks all the time? And why the HELL is he still collecting badges when by now his Pikachu must be at a level >9000? He must be a famous pokemon GOD by now, right?

You could look at each episode as being another day in the Pokemon mythos, so in reality, it's only been a couple of years for Ash.

I remember by the end of the first season, one of them said. "I cannot believe a year has already past!" Guess what? There are like 13 seasons now, and still going. Maybe Ash has a growth disorder. : /

Why do you think Team Rocket keeps going after Ash and Pikachu? POWERFUL. Also, if Ash is supposed to be 20, and Brock is supposed to be 30, why are they hanging out with girls who seem to be 10.

Well..according to Bulbapedia, Ash hasn't aged since he left Pallet Town (he's still 10 apperently o-O )..Same with the whole "Gotta Catch'em All" thing, they ended up dropping that whole thing from the show because the American dubbers released Ash wasn't doing that good of a job at it (in the whole series so far, he's only caught about 50)

Meh..who cares about inconsistencies when there's money to be made and anime to be watched

Edit: I think there are multiple seasons in each region so Ash shouldn't be in here's twenties but either his mid or late teens.

Maybe its to make the kids comfortable.

Ash is in a coma, and as such, he always envisions himself as the age that he entered the coma in.

It's not so much that I was trying to make the profit joke as much as it actually makes a profit, as the producers of the pokemon cartoon can keep making more, the 'profit' reference was merely a coincidence.

Well I think it's safe to say that Ash has a disability or two screwing him up. Maybe they affect his growth? I mean come on there's no way someone in their right frame of mind wouldn't make a move on so much potential;
