OT: What type of game genre do you prefer.
Hmmmm... That's pretty much completely dependent on my mood, but I do seem to end up with more RPGs. Unless I just feel like f-ing something up, which swings around about monthly, so...

Huh, I wonder if We can wish for a Admin to close this thread, before it starts up the horrible "Ask a _____" disease...

And then the even worse cure of the "Don't you hate the "Ask a _______" Threads, I do too!" 'cure'.

Followed swiftly by Admin judgement.

...

Actually come to think about it, she just joins and the first thing she says is essentially "I'm a Gamer girl"

My Attention whore senses are tingling...
I wasn't seeing any threads I had much to add to and I try to make my newbie periods on sites as short as possible. Plus, I'm genuinely curious what Gamer Boys are curious about. It plagues me. And none of the ones I know in RL would be honest with me.
Hey you answered it reasonable and gave an actual reason.

*Crosses Literary Litan off the Attention whore list*

Well, since you answered and gave a semi good reason I'll enlighten you on some things then ask a question.

First off, if you enter a game and the first thing you say/type is I'm a girl, you'll either get pervy reactions OR "ugh, Attention whore" reactions. But if you wish to make it clear what gender you are, use a mic. That way you don't come off wrong AND it makes it clear to everyone in the game that either a Squeeky 6 year old is playing, that talks maturely, OR a girl has entered, why some one would need to say that they are a girl, is beyond me. (Well, not really, as I know why but it's not a very nice explanation)

Secondly, Since you're new i'll like to point you to the top right of the screen. In there is something called "the Search Bar" it allows you to search every other previous thread made, and helps stop repeat threads. for the laughs I reccomend you type in "Ask a" and see the results.

Finally, my actual question.

What is your Favourite Sci - Fi book. If yuo are a true geek, and read sci fi, then I should already know your answer... O.O

Would you be my girlfriend?
Sadly, I am determined to be all logical and not do long-distance relationships.
But I thought we had something special going... I really felt a connection. You didn't feel the connection?
I felt the connection. Orgasmatron will you marry me?
Sorry, after the let down of LiteraryLitany I don't think I could ever love again.

Can I say something please?
Why does it matter that you're a girl? It's not like your from some alien planet where they don't have video games. But whatever.

Do you find it irritating when people act suprised that you play video games?

So, with the relationship thread and the minor male-female numbers discrepancy on my mind I thought it might be fun to give myself a challenge. Other females feel free to join me in the question-answering.

Is there anything you've always wanted to ask about Geek Girls, that... well, we're not quite so rare anymore, but certainly a unique breed of female? Keep in mind that any questions asked just to annoy will be ignored. Try to keep it to things you're *genuinely* curious about.
1i)Are you intimidated by good looking guys?
1ii)Do you find attraction relative?
2i)How much time do you spend on self-appearance?
2ii)Would you like to spend more?
3)Would you consider yourself socially adept?

I know the answers to these questions for some women, just curious as to your spin on them.
1i) Frankly, a little. Although more in the way of suspecting ulterior motives until I get to know him. Then, so long as he has a sense of humor the intimidation factor fades.
1ii) Very relative. My other girlfriends and I debate constantly over what's attractive and never seem to agree.
2i) It depends. Usually no more than an hour from waking up to heading out the door, unless I'm cosplaying in which case... Depends how many of my handmaidens I've managed to gather together.
2ii) Not really, I value my sleep more than how perfect my lipstick is. And I've got my essentials down to quick-and-easy.
3) I'd consider myself socially average(for an introvert) except that I'm fairly adaptable to who I'm talking to. That's more helpful than anything else I think.

What would your ideal date be that pays homage to you as both a girl and a geek?
I could care either way, so long as the food is good and there is plenty of it.

What is your opinion of people who get really expensive gaming PCs and then mod it with lights, fans, custom paint jobs, etc.

What do you enjoy more, playing games online for the games or playing games online for the extra attention being female gives you?
I prefer to play games where people are indifferent to gender, so games like Operation FLashpoint 2: Dragon Rising are very much suited to me since everyone is focused on strategy. Sure I do get the occasional "Why don't we take a long route and try to position our snipers on that hill and use them as lookouts while assault the base," "Whatever you say baby". I usually brush it off.

Why are you so few? Where do you all hide out?
I have no idea why, but that's just because I act like a boy more than a girl.

1) Why do (some) gamers girls have an seemingly uncontrollable urge to be attention whores and drama-queens?

2) Why do (some) gamer girls seem to think that they're so damned rare? It's not like I don't belong to a small (less than 30 active members) guild that include several women in its' membership.
I wish I could answer those. Sorry.

-whats your favourite series of novels?
-do you prefer fps or rpg?
-what does sex feel like?
-ever seen a man drink Bailey's from a shoe?
-I'm quite preferable to the Bandini series of novels by John Fante.
-I would like it if a game was both, like Valkyria Chronicles or Fallout 3.
-It feels awesome. So awesome that the word awesome fails to describe its awesomeness. It's especially good if your partner is someone you truly love.
-I'll consult Jewtube on that one.

Cake or Pie?!
That depends. Is it cherry pie? Is the cake frosting made of real sugar so you can feel the grains in your teeth when you bite it?

If a chick is soo much of a loser that she becomes a geek then there is nothing I would want to know from the failure.
Not every geek is a basement dwelling waste of DNA. Some of us are actually quite productive members of society who happen to have a few nerdy interests.

what makes you a geek, besides your name (which, by the way, is very geeky)?

No, i'm just still Irked, at the mass Ask A____ spam ,then followed by the near infinetly worse "I hate the Ask A___ Thread".

Also, an Ask a Gamer thread is pointless due to the fact that, this is a gamer forum, what makers her/him more certified to talk about games?

From that leads to part of my annoyance, the other part is that it points to truth, that she/he is likely an attention whore (A well known saying, incase some one tries to call me on that) due to it being her/hims 1-3 post, rubbing it in everyones face "Hey Look I'm a girl" I've seen an extremely high amount of "Attention whores" who just do that nonestop. That being said i'd like to point out that not all are like that, nor is it even a high percentage (if there was a percent) but still annoying none the less.

And fine if you'd like me to "contribute" by your definition, here you go.

What makes your Gamer opinion different from say, mine or anyone else on this forum?
Mine isn't any different really, other than in the subjective experience sense which really isn't what you're talking about. And as to the attention whoring, I don't usually start many threads, nor was I aware of the a previous streak of Ask A ____ threads. I just wasn't finding much in other threads that I thought I could contribute to with something new to say, so I thought I'd start this for fun and see what popped up. Plus, it'll up my number of posts nicely, and hopefully rocket me out of newbie status, which is a purgatory I try to spend as little time in as possible
