A hard question, as I have difficulty myself finding other geek girls. (I've developed a radar, I can sit in a mall and rate how geeky passersby are. It's a fun game if you're bored.) On the internet, I notice a lot hide in play-by-post RP forums, and in real life try bookstores and look at local clubs. Barring that, I find it best to take mildly geeky girls and giving them gateway books and games to draw them into the fold. It's a slow process but usually worth it.TheGreatCoolEnergy said:Why are you so few? Where do you all hide out? I only know like 3, and out of those 3 only 1 is my friend.
Do you go into every thread with the attention to insult? Either contribute to the thread or don't. if you don't like it don't post and just report. If you post then you do nothing but contribute to the thing you hate.dududf said:Huh, I wonder if We can wish for a Admin to close this thread, before it starts up the horrible "Ask a _____" disease...
And then the even worse cure of the "Don't you hate the "Ask a _______" Threads, I do too!" 'cure'.
Followed swiftly by Admin judgement.

Actually come to think about it, she just joins and the first thing she says is essentially "I'm a Gamer girl"
My Attention whore senses are tingling...
Well, I'm a second generation Geek. I got taken to my first Star Trek convention at six months old and was playing Doctor Who with my Duplos a few years after that. So I guess it's probably conditioning from my childhood.D4zZ said:What made you like geeky things in the first place/What was the first geeky thing you were interested in?
May as well ask anyone here that though, gender shouldn't be an issue.![]()
I was noticing in the relationship thread that a lot of people "Wondered why girls don't like me" and thought maybe I could offer some insight, being one. Plus, I have questions about the odd inner workings of the fanboy mind, so I thought some might reciprocate.TheNumber1Zero said:tellmeimaninja said:Nope. Now make me a sammich. Ha! *cue "The More You Know" music*Why do you think we want to ask you questions? I'm truly curious about this.![]()
i was about to dismiss this thread and feel slightly offended. but then i saw this!captainwillies said:-ever seen a man drink Bailey's from a shoe?LiteraryLitany said:So, with the relationship thread and the minor male-female numbers discrepancy on my mind I thought it might be fun to give myself a challenge. Other females feel free to join me in the question-answering.
Is there anything you've always wanted to ask about Geek Girls, that... well, we're not quite so rare anymore, but certainly a unique breed of female? Keep in mind that any questions asked just to annoy will be ignored. Try to keep it to things you're *genuinely* curious about.
i'd have to agree with you here. i guess i'm gonna blame it on the OP being new.dududf said:There are three types of Gamer girls.
1) The type, that only play games so they can whore attention from the male gamers.
2) Are the same as normal Male gamers, excluding looks, and certain genitalia
3) Are guys.
What more needs to be said ?
No, i'm just still Irked, at the mass Ask A____ spam ,then followed by the near infinetly worse "I hate the Ask A___ Thread".maddawg IAJI said:*snip*
1) I have a long list of theories on this. Some involve daddy not paying enough attention to her. Some involving societal expectations. But the simple answer is they're girls and (unlike me) don't want to turn into "one of the guys."Aerodyamic said:1) Why do (some) gamers girls have an seemingly uncontrollable urge to be attention whores and drama-queens?
2) Why do (some) gamer girls seem to think that they're so damned rare? It's not like I don't belong to a small (less than 30 active members) guild that include several women in its' membership.
Geeks can be hot too. As long as you're confident *almost* anyone can be attractive.Avykins said:Oh fuck no. Not these again. We just got rid of these fucking threads. Why is this place infested with morons lately? And why would I want to ask a geek girl? If a chick is soo much of a loser that she becomes a geek then there is nothing I would want to know from the failure.
At the moment I'm very into The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.captainwillies said:-whats your favourite series of novels?

Well, he's certainly cute, and witticism is definitely a turn-on for me, but for me I don't get hot and bothered by someone unless they're in the room. We're hard-wired to be less visual than guys so it's the whole experience of being with someone that's attractive.captainwillies said:are you sexually attracted to this boy?
