Why all the hate?

Terribly naive question, so answer however specifically or generally you'd like.

From what I've gathered so far, its because...
-"Jews killed Jesus" claim
-Something about money?
here's all the answer you'll need

Through out your 5000 years of existence, what do you think provoked so many attempts of extermination (i'm counting at least 20 by the Romans, the Spanish ,the Russians, the French , the Babylonians, the Germans etc.) Is it jealousy, greed or simply wanting to kill and older more advanced race ?
Extermination of a race of people is rarely (if ever) a one sided affair. Given that Jews have dubbed themselves 'the chosen people' and went out to kill and convert everyone who wasn't Jewish for the first.. uh.. well, until Jesus came along, they made some enemies. Its hard to walk away from that.
Elsewise, its for the same reason anyone wants to wipe out another culture. Land (religious or resources), cultural (Christians vs Nords, FIGHT!), mistrust (having money and notority of conquering nations does that), and fundamentally not having a home national land tends to do that. When you look at the past of any longstanding civilization, they have all faced constant attack (and constantly attack). Look through Greco-Roman history. Look through Babylonian and French history. It isnt just Jews - but Jews managed to survive every one of them (whereas other civs.. didn't.). Maybe they are the children of god?

Try surviving for 5k years and not make a few enemies!

Are Jews like leprechauns? If I catch one of you will you take me to your pot of gold?

Also is it true that Jews learn secret martial arts training?
The utter lack of respect towards others of a faith or ethnicity, especially in a thread designed to root out this type of idiocy, is astounding. At what point did you find it to be of proper societal function to make stereotypical jew jokes? Im not just directing this at you, but at everyone who has made a holocaust or gold or any other bullshit joke.

If you have something legit to ask, ask it. If you are just going to be a selfish tool and waste everyone's time, there are other forums and places to voice it.

..I really hope the banhammer will arrive soon. I desperately love these threads as I believe dissemination of information is paramount to overall levels of acceptance, but bullshit like this makes it hard to keep posting.

Do Jews have any respect for Islam??
that's like asking if Muslims have any respect for Judaism in the sense that everyone either has their own beliefs. there are plenty of Jews who don't, but I personally have plenty of respect for it, seeing as how I try to think innocent before proven guilty no matter what

Do you know if all Welsh individuals respect Budhism?
Answer me that and I'll answer your question.
I do not mean to harm you or rןdicule you in any way, think about what I wrote.

Define respect.
Do Jews believe Islamic people are wrong to be Islamic? Of course, Jews believe they are the true religion. Just like Islamics do. And like Catholics do. And like every non-eastern religion.
Its kind of a dumb question when you think about it. Not to be disrespectful, but, by the same token, does Islam have respect for Jews? Ask yourself the same question, supplant the proper nouns, and answer your own question based on your own level of extremism.

So I've been reading up on Jews of the Diaspora compared to the Jews living in Israel and the book talks about how there was a good amount of disdain between the two groups. Why?

I know a few people that wouldn't consider the Jewish people an ethnicity.
They might not, but according to Jewish law a born Jew is always considered a jew for the rest of their life. They might not be a genetic ethnicity, but they're most certainly a race.

What do you think of Muslims (like myself)? Do you hate us? Be honest please, I want to know what you really think.
much to my distaste, there are lots of Jews out there who see Muslims as the "enemy", not just in israel but in the states. Now I've never met a muslim myself, despite the fact that you guys are like 1/6th of the planet's population, and I'm no position to jugde even though I have friends who work with kids in arab villages in Israel, but as long as you don't hate me and don't mind that I'm zionist in the sense that Israel should exist--even though it has a whole host of problems, as israeli guy will tell you--I won't hate you
It's not in my nature to hate anyone my good sir, because im extremely passive and nonviolent. Why? Because it's just how I am, it's how my father raised me, it's how my hero who saved my people from British oppression (Gandhi)does things, and contrary to popular belief its what the Qur'an teaches me as well. I am glad that there doesn't have to be bad blood between us just because of you being Jewish and me being Muslim.

There really isn't a reason for me to personally hate you. Believe what you wish, as long as you do not harm me or others. I feel the same for you as I feel for a Shintoist (Basically a Japanese person).
Are you a Sunni or a Shiite? Just curious.
I am glad to hear it; once again (as I said above), I am glad there isn't any automatic hate between us. I am a Shia, the more lovable group (in my opinion and from what I have seen and experienced)

As an Israeli Jew, I think I coudl answer that.

On the surface, there isn't much disdain. Many jews in the diaspora donate large sums to Israel, and many jews in the diaspora support Israel, so all in all there isn't much disdain. However, on a personal level, some jews in the diaspora feel Israel's political issues cause them grief (since they're associated with Israel, like it or not). To Israeli jews, ones from the diaspora might appear strange with their odd customs and silly accents, but I wouldn't say there's disdain.

Essentially - you are supposed to live in the promised land, given to you by the creator. If you don't, then, you are supposed to do everything you can to live there.
In the end, the 144,000 of the tribes will go live there anyways. You need to be a part of one of the tribes to be summoned, and those who are outside of it won't be summoned.

Edit - to incorporate what the post above me mentions.
There is also the 'why me and why not them' standpoint of humanity. The trials of the Jewish people are sustained by all Jews. One is not to run and hide from it, but fight and sustain as a united people.
That is a VERY overly simplified thing, please take it with a big ol' grain of evaporated dead sea.

On a more social standpoint, you are asking about the nation of the jews (Isreal) vs the spread of the religion. Zionists (if I understand correctly) believe that all Jews should live in.. well.. Zion. Anti-zionists believe they should spread and be with the other heathens and spread religion and be.. good jews without living in the Holy Land. It still comes down to 'Do you think we the people should live there, or not'. Its as fundamental as any Christian doctrine - our right to wear our hair wet to church.

What do you feel - being a jew - on Israel blockading and ruthlessly killing innocent Palastinians? Also, what's your definition of zionism?

Well, the Hassidic movement formed in eastern Poland, which was bloody cold. And it was a couple of centuries ago, when fashion was different. Since very religious Jews refuse to change their clothes style on the most part, they still have the furry donuts.

hmmm i actually do have one...2 weeks ago is saw an episode of law and order svu it was about the euthanization of a baby with "Tay-Sachs" they said that the disease was most common among jewish people (which seemed very weird to me) and that a lot of couples get tested to see if they carry the mutated gene which they both need to pass on in order for the child to have the disease.
I looked it up and the disease does exist and seems to be most common for people of Eastern European and Askhenazi Jewish descent...so my question is:
Is it true that it is common for jewish couples to actually let them self get tested for it before they have children? (which come to think of it wouldn't be a bad idea in any case if you plan to have a child...not for that disease in particular but for genetic diseases in general)

I'm sorry to state it, but, that is a really dumb question based on ignorance.

People are f***ing killing other human beings. Regardless of race or religion, ITS PEOPLE KILLING PEOPLE. What kind of question are you asking here, do you think JEws are happy to exterminate Palistinians?

Is there like, no brain filter here?

Ignoring that - no, most Jews are not happy about the wholesale slaughter of others. Some might be happy about it. But then again, most white people don't celebrate 'happy lets gank some n***ers day' either, right?.

Sorry. That was just.. really.. wow.

With all due respect, I'm not sure if we're massacering that many innocent Palestinians. The total death toll on both sides combined since the start of the Israeli-Arab conflict is only 60,000. If Israel really wanted to butcher Palestinians, many more would be dead. I think that in a war, casualties happen. We've definitely killed innocents, and I don't like it, hell no, but I don't think there's a massacer either. I definitely wouldn't define it as ruthless.

As for Zionism- I define it the same as most Israelies do: Patriotism for Israel. I'm aware that the UN calssifies it as a form of Racism, and I don't agree with that in the slightest.
