Don't.... Please don't answer him.
Just don't bother.
What? I'm just curious, is all...
Sorry, not to overquote, or to answer stupidity, but to clear some up to people who have no idea what the f*** they are talking about;

The jewish people are not supposed to cut the hair at the sides of the head of clip the edges of the beard (Leviticus 19:27). This has the effect of making Jew Curls (as I mentioned in an earlier post). If a person decides to cluster that hair and hide it under a hat, and solidify it thereby, it makes 'horns'.

So, there's your explanation. Orthodox jews who obey Leviticus 19:27 get 'horns'.
Does that answer your stupidly phrased question?

A sense of humour: some people need to get one.
Just like if you tell a chicken nuggets joke to an african american it's their fault they get offended? It's a racist joke, a sense of humor isn't the issue. It's simply a matter of good taste.

Yes. They should have a more open-sense of humour.
Can't agree with you there; it's anyone's right to get offended if you tell them a blatantly obvious racist joke. I mean, Political correctness should have limits (and is often stretched too far), but it's still a good thing. Since anti-semitic propaqganda famously depicts Jews with horns, I don't think it unreasonable to get offended by it.

So what did you think of the way Jews are portrayed in Borat?
Also how much shit do you get on a daily basis for being Jewish?
Lastly one if you guys made a joke about the holocaust but said nose and penny jokes aren't cool, why?

Sasha Baron Coen (I hope I spelled his name correctly) is a Jew. He is an actor and he was in Borat - in the role of Borat.
The whole point of these jokes is the Irony - he's laughing at the racism by showing it. Besides, when he speaks with his friend, he speaks in Hebrew.
I actually enjoyed that movie. The other one wasn't so entertaining.

Never saw the movie, but I think the whole movie was an obvious 'cross the line twice' comedy, so I don't take any of that to heart. THey're obviously just kidding around.

Since I live in Israel, none. :p

I dunno, I guess it's the context. If you're among friends, it's different then when talking to strangers. I guess there's a certain level of hypocrisy there, just like it seems perfectly fine for black people ot call other black people "nigga."

If anyone got offended by that post, then I'm sorry for offending them. I was joking though.
And I'm sorry if I overreacted a bit. After spending some time online, the Jew jokes might get a bit old.

well sounds like some people aren't too partial to my question. sorry to all those offended! I see I have been criticised for asking if someone supports Israeli attacks on Palestine, and I apologise, you are probably right. I do know people who aren't jews and are fine with it. Guess it's just ignorance.
An interesting view on zionism - I've heard many definitions, so I still feel very vague with the term! I'm not sure if you've ever heard of the Love Police, but they have done some interesting articles and videos on Palestine. Also have you ever heard of Jody McIntyre? His blog shows an interesting take on the situation.

Borat was a satire. So.. pretty good. It would be more offensive to NOT be made fun of in a satiracle nature.
Which leads into the third question - how is it ok to make a joke? Its ok to make a joke *in the right context*. If you are saying it to playfully poke fun at common norms, expressed in a manner specifically designed not to gain ire, but to have foyables, then it is acceptable.

That is true of any culture. As a Canadian, I am subjected to constant ridicule. Mounties, beavers, maple syrup, whatever. We *knows* its in fun. But if someone was to say 'Canada doesn't matter economically' or 'Canada never contributed to WW2', then it is no longer satirical. It is just plain insulting, and designed by nature to be hurtful.

If it was a movie, and Borat came to Canada, he should make fun of Canadian customs. If I was watching Fox and they made fun of Canada seriously, it would not be ok.

===

For your second question, being harassed on a daily basis - that depends on the person, the community, and other tangibles. How much do you get harassed on a daily basis for being black/white/hispanic/high school graduate/prius owner/name thing here?

Please people, consider the context of things. If you can supplant a different noun into your sentence, and have absolutely no change in effect, then you probably can answer it your own damn self.
