No, really [http://www.timesdispatch.com/news/june-trial-set-for-would-be-rapper-accused-of-malicious/article_2ef3b8c1-ff5b-5479-b709-463a57474be6.html]

...

Ok, as well as the obvious ways this is rather odd, the Illuminati? Does anyone take them seriously? Well, obviously this guy presumably did.

I liked the Illuminati better when they were making Lady Gaga (possibly in the literal sense, in a breeding program). And I'm not even a big fan of hers.

Well the house was filled with hallucinogens...
Maybe the Illuminati is involved, maybe the guy was high as a kite and dreamed it all up, the world shall never know...

Still a massive shame though, a chap would sooner shoot his own friends than work his way to stardom without the support of an allegedly existing organisation.

Um. Okay. Can someone explain what the fuck these people are suppose to be? Because I see youtube comments all the time accusing everyone from Jay Z to Usher as being a member of this thing.

You aren't supposed to know who They are, They just are.

More seriously, They have been associated with various imagery, which people like Lady Gaga borrow, in that they (not "They") borrow from everywhere.

Well this is quite odd. I take it he took those Kanye West Illuminati videos on Youtube a tad too seriously.

Er, wow. I'm surprised that some people truly believe in the Illuminati, let alone perform an outrageous act for them.

Guess we know what choice he picked at the end of Deus Ex.

I thought not an ounce of credibility was left in the Illuminati when the Olympics didn't blow up...
Oh well, guess the next Da Vinci code has something to talk about.

A girl in my year gave an entire presentation to over a hundred people claiming that the Illuminati controlled our music through the likes of Jay-Z, Beyonce and Rhianna. (something to do with some gangster triangle sign they do sometimes?)

It was the longest most awkward ten minutes of my life.

So the Illuminati are still going strong for some people.

Whether the Illuminati really does exist or not is really anyone's guess, but I think it's pretty naive to think that there's isn't more than meets they eye in the music/entertainment industry. It's not hard to sense that there's some kind of behind-the-scenes agenda going on. Sure, it sounds silly, but there's no way people like Rihanna are succeeding on their 'talent'.

The original Bavarian Illuminati were an Enlightenment-era secret society founded to oppose stuff like abuse of state power and religious influence over politics, and to support stuff like abolition and women's rights. They were disbanded within a decade, and afterwards they were vilified by religious reactionaries and blamed for the French Revolution.

Over time, that just evolved into a theory that the Illuminati were a secret society controlling the entire world, and from there it's just a choose-your-own-conspiracy game.

Don't forget the owl imagery.

Is that an owl in your avatar? You're under-suspision, buddy.

This is an odd story, though I do hear that you have to make sacrifices to reach the top. I never thought that this was that meant though.

Wow... that is something I genuinely did not know. I never looked into the origin of the conspiracy, but I just assumed it was a relatively recent fiction in modern culture that spun out of control. I'm surprised a body representing them actually existed.

Captcha: Eat your vitamins.

I'm on to you captcha. You're part of the conspiracy. Trying to control the minds of people by propagating a health concious culture and fooling them into taking your mind altering drugs. Well I'll show you, I haven't taken vitamins in six months. YOU'LL NEVER GET...

Here, I'll explain the Illuminati to you:

They are a secret society (Or a group of Secret Societies), founded around the Enlightenment era in Bavaria (Southern Germany). They were pretty much the most liberal group in Europe at the time: Believing in Women's Equality and Education, opposing Superstition, Religious influence in government and Prejudice. They were also against abuses caused by those who were in power. Around the time of the French Revolution/French Wars, they were officially disbanded, but they were able to survive and regroup in America. Some symbols the Illuminati used were adopted by the American Government (The Pyramid with the Eye in the top), but none of the Founding Fathers themselves were Illuminati (Most were in another Secret Society, the Free Masons, which is another discussion entirely).

Even though the original Illuminati died, because of all the new Illuminati organizations that claim to be descendants of the original Illuminati, and because some people believe the original Illuminati didn't die, there are people who believe the Illuminati is an underground government trying to form the New World Government, dictated by their principles. People believe that the Illuminati are an insanely powerful group that has caused Revolutions, Communist Uprisings, Political Assassinations and Political and Cultural Infiltration (An Example: Every President America has elected in the Modern Day is somehow an Illuminati, even if they have no possible connection with them). It's completely paranoid and ridiculous.

OT: This guy is crazy, and needs some serious mental help.

Autotune and producers have made actual talent an afterthought. Everything revolves around marketability now that you can put any voice and any face behind your music that you make and sing through computers. I would be willing to bet that Nikki Manaj existed in the studio and as a commercial concept far before Nikki Manaj herself ever entered the picture. It's more likely that her conception was in a board room when someone said "we should do something like a more ghetto katy perry."

The advantage of an industry that runs on easily produced marketability rather than artistic integrity and talent should however be easily identifiable without jumping through the hoop of involving the Illuminati.

It seems rap isn't his kind of thing, maybe he should go into Death Metal?
