Assassin's Creed 2 Any Good

Assuming that they give you the ability to assassinate someone from some direction other then directly behind them (on a roof or jump up from the water) and they don't have the endless waves of baddies at the end (as well as some more varied missions) then it should be pretty good. On a sidenote, the original had graphics so good that I wondered where I've been for the past few years to notice such improvements.

If it's as good as the original, I'll be ok with that, but I'm assuming it'll be better (them having a chance to perfect it and all) so my hopes are very high.

When you stab someone with a knife to silence them it should feel heavy and brutal, from what I have seen from videos it goes all sparkly.

There are white sparks by targets feet and when you attack them and it just looks silly.

Well it is all a VR simulation.

I'd get it just for the ability to assassinate people at night - that will be so much fun.

Also, as I can understand it you can dual-assassinate people! Two blades are better than one.

How would that work? 2 blades on your wrists and one on your pelvis?

Obviously you hold one blade in your mouth.

Game-play wise it looks very good.

I take it you didn't play the original? That was explained.

the trailers and what ive read in magazines seems to show that some parts of the gameplay will be better than the first one (i.e no more absolutely identical missions in every single f**k-mothering city) but tbh I just wonder if the story will be much better than the last one, if it turns out that da vinci is actually evil and betrays you at the end of the game i may have to chuck the game out of the window.

I hear you (although I actually really enjoyed the first one. I actually still play it. Between that, Mass Effect, and Bioshock, it's no wonder my friends call me the King of Games from 2007), I'll be annoyed if Da Vinci betrays you. However, I'll be disappointed if Machiavelli doesn't.

I want this game to be good. Hopefully the guards will leave you alone for roughing up some of the more annoying people that harassed the main character in the first game.

The first game was not particularly amazing. This one at least promises to have more depth than the three minigames of the last one.

My sentiments exactly, that's what made me dislike the original, it's repetitiveness. The fact that it looks like AC2 will fix that is what makes me so excited about it.
