I was just about to say that the French Revolution would be perfect.Tourette said:During the French Revolution. A Scarlett Pimpernel twist could be done.
I actually believe this to be the case as well. In fact, I assumed that would happen as half of the gameplay in AC II. But yes, it seems like it would be a good idea if they used Desmond as the character of primary use in AC IIIAWOL said:After the end off ACII, I'm surprised more people didn't come to the conclusion that I did. I think that you're going to take full control of Desmond in the "present" and take part in his fight against the templars. I mean, they basically handed you all the abilities of Ezio in that warehouse tutorial level thing right in the middle of the game, and why give Desmond the abilities if he isn't going to use them?
I'm kinda looking forward to it. Assassin's Creed gameplay in a near-future setting could be incredibly fun.
EDIT: I also just rememeberedwhat that "God" hologram lady says after you kill the Pope (lol). She addresses Desmond directly and places the responsibility on him, and Ezio was just a tool to do so.I'd be shocked if we weren't in control of Desmond next time.
I was only kidding about Assasins Creed: IN SPACE!!!Lupus in fabula said:This seems interesting...but could you offer a few more details?JohanGasMask said:why not in space!
Would it take place on the sidtant future on another planet? Maybe introduce new technologies and mods like Deus Ex?
then why not just play god of war?Crystal Cuckoo said:... Post World War III ? An apocalyptic scenario, just as Einstein predicted ("I know not what World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones")
Or Ancient Rome/Greece/Egypt. Maybe you could assassinate Caesar, or work for the Olympian Gods!
And I quote this for obvious reasons.AzrealMaximillion said:Ninjas, that is all.
You still don't get it do you. The parallels between Ninjas and the Assassin's Guild are extremely vague. You could say that Assassin's are the same as Soldier because they both kill people in order to stop the enemies from taking over their lands. You completely ignored my explanation of how the way that Ninjas and the Assassin's Guild have completely different structures. Once you take that into consideration then having AC3 in Feudal Japan isn't so plain cut and simple. Besides, it'd be nice to have a story where Europe doesn't have major influence over the land. That and we haven't had a "true" Ninja game since Tench: Wrath of Heaven.sirkai007 said:So you're saying that I'm stupid to see parallels between Ninjas and Assassins? Let's take a look at this.AzrealMaximillion said:I meant that I'd like to see a Feudal Japan Assassin's Creed. And no the Assassin's Guild is not essentially Ninjas. Historically Ninjas were covert mercenaries for hire, not the Ninja clan warriors that the media today portrays them as. They did espionage, sabotage, AND assassinations for pay. Usually under the employ of daimyo(territorial lord). The Assassin's Guild is there to fight Templars. Two completely different things. Maybe you should learn your history before you blurt out nonsense.sirkai007 said:The assassin's guild is essentially ninjas. I would have liked your comment better if you said "Chocolate Pudding" instead.AzrealMaximillion said:Ninjas, that is all.
Think before you blurt out something.
In the games you not only assassinate (done for money or the furtherance of one groups goals means very little) but you spend time sitting on park benches to hear what people are talking about, beat intel out of people, and steal items of information. But that isn't espionage apparently.
And wasn't the whole goal of killing all those people in AC1 about sabotaging the Templars' plans to rule the world at least until the plot twist?
