Doodes, it'll be co-op! Work together with a friend to take out a target, one is distraction, the other is the killer. One can "steal" something to draw attention while the other stabs in the neck.

Would be uber awesome.
I approve of this. A lot. Like, REALLY a lot.

Multiplayer doesn't indeed have to mean competitive multiplayer. Co-op could indeed be brutally fantastic.

Which is how it should remain, unless they do it well.

No one would attack. They would just stand there and wait for their foe to attack so that they could counter! Also the gun would be a noob cannon!
I can see that happening alright

I think it would be awesome to have multiplayer coop free-roaming, crackdown style, and they could include random assassinations around the place, and multiple ways in, and a distract function, and one could draw away the guards while the other attacks...
Never played crackdown, but if too many people were playing at once, it would be kinda crap, seeing lots of random assassins running sround on rooftops. One of the important parts of the series is that its only you acting like a madman.

That would be awesome, I hope it's downloadable for AC2, because it shouldn't be a main game mechanic.
That sounds cool but it should be FREE. seeing as how i cant afford anything right now.

Uhh.. I can't see this working well. Oh well, as long as the Multiplayer doesn't compensate for the Singleplayer experience and its at least as good if not better than AC2 I'm happy.

Really not a Multiplayer fan but I'll check it out.

I can tell you've never played crackdown because the important thing about that was that it was only two people, and that's what I meant, although in crackdown 2 it's gonna be four, so we'll see how that turns out. Some people liked it some people didn't, but I really liked playing with a friend, 'cos we just did whatever we wanted and then came together to attack a boss. It was awesome.

Also, fighting each other would fail miserably, because it just wouldn't work.

Competitive, however, where you're first to reach and kill a target could be awesome.

Yeah, that would make it better, although I'd probably buy it anyway because I got 2100 microsoft points for christmas and haven't spent any of them.

If it's anything like Splinter Cell Chaos Theory multiplayer, then it's all good.

.....Why?

Why would you do that?

I can't even begin to comprehend how that would even work....

Calm down, my lord. I'm...I'm sure it was a mistake...

DON'T HURT US!

OT: Meh, solely depends on:

1. How they implement it
2. If it affects the singleplayer in quality or play-time
3. What they do with the game in general in the third installment

I think it's not AC3 btw, it's the DLC for AC2. Sequences 12 and 13 got cut out if you'd remembered, so I suspect they're doing something with that. Apparently you get to use the flying machine aswell :O

AC2 is better without a Multiplayer installment, if you have a great single player game going don't try to change it go with what works not with what they think is popular at the time.

I think it's great. I've always talked about how fun tag/hide-and-go-seek would be with a few friends... :D

Why is it that gaming companies feel they need to add multiplayer to every game they make - sometimes a single-player experience is all that is needed to make a great game. In shooters, multiplayer is acceptable, but Assassin's Creed? REALLY?
