Loved: Code Geass, fantastic story, great action and a great climax for the ending. Very fun to watch.

Hate: Although I don't really hate any of the animes I have seen the one I disliked the most has to be FLCL. It was just a bit too random for me and I never really got into it.

Loved: Well if I have to single one right now it would definitely be Welcome to the NHK.

Disliked: Pokemon, I'm sorry but I didn't grow up with this series and I was already 18 when it came out. I know this is one of those nostalgic favorites for a lot of people since it introduced them to anime as kids, but I had already been well exposed to anime as far back as Voltran in the 80s and Ronin Warriors in the early 90s to fall for this dripple....=/

Dislke: ermm... To be honest, I haven't watched as much anime as a lot of people here have! Can I say Pokemon? I don't think it's aimed at me ;)

Love: Now and Then Here and There, Higurashi and Umineko (the above-mentioned When They Cry series), Bakemonogatari, Saber Marionnette (J, J Again and J to X), Fate Stay Night... too many to count.

Hate: Night Shift Nurses, Cool Devices, Ninja Ressurrection. All three have a marked penchant for rape and sadism, plus Ninja Ressurrection was marketed as a sequel to Ninja Scroll (it's REALLY not).

I never saw Ronin Warriors but Voltron was probably my first anime (if you don't count Transformers, which I don't). Actually my first was probably Cities of Gold. Pure win.

Loved: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Starts out like a typical magical girl anime. Then it breaks the majority of the typical magical girl tropes. Then you get to Strikers.

Disliked: While hate is a poor word, I think that "meh" would be the closest that I can come to in that side of the spectrum. The "meh" anime? Soul Eater.

You remember Cities of Gold? LoL, I thought I was the only one, although all I do remember is that epic opening song it had.....and that's about it...=/

Didn't know it was anime? Wait, now I want to find out what else was anime I probably grew up with in the 80s!

I love Bleach and hate Naruto. It is so fucking boring! Even the battles are nothing compared to the ones in Bleach and One Piece.

Dragon Ball Z-It's the only anime I have ever watched more than one episode of before turning off the T.V in bored annoyance/disgust. Despite it suffering from the standard problems of Anime (crap framerate and some awful voice acting/translation) it is just a lot of cheesy fun.

I will never understand why some like Anime so much-I'd much rather watch SpongeBob than an adaption of my favourite childhood fantasy novel series where every character looks nothing like I imagined, terrible voice acting and piss poor framerate.

If you guessed Deltora Quest, You Win!

Like:Cowboy Bebop, Slick, well written, acted both dubed and Japanese, characters you loved and cared about, even some of the one shot ones were at least believable, but manages to mix dark and in a few episode deep story arcs or character developments with and over all and, in the end dominant feeling of fun. It managed what most filmed shows could only dream of, darkness without killing the fun and dun without making it another copy and past animé full of slapstick and bad jokes. Spike himself could stand up against any main protagonist people drool over from the western world, a psychotic mix of Bruce Lee, (sub 2000s)Steve Martin and Bruce Willis, hes capable of great darkness and comic relief in a single scene without seeming deranged. The other 3, Jet, every stereotype of the film nior scene, only done in a way you often forget this and just enjoy the deepness of the character (a deep stereotype being a massive oxymoron I know). Faye a Shallow fan service character that will randomly Destroy her character with deep development(not ruining any in-case you haven't seen it) And finally Ed, well... the only zany young girl character you don't want to spear in the face (see yuffie)

Dilike: X. Take every single good point for bebop, and reverse them, non exsistant characters, No plot and the build up to the final battle takes over every aspect of the 2nd act, only for the battle to last all of 5 slow motion seconds... Everyone dies, but who cares, you didn't like any of them, you didn't care.

DO. NOT. WATCH

Love: Great Teacher Onizuka, Dragon Ball Z, Fairy Tail and several others.
Dislike: Fullmetal Alchemist, the original series. It's just awful, compared to manga or Brotherhood.

Love: Clannad, welcome to the NHK, Shuffle!, and more

Hate: Eeeeh... I don't know. I suppose I don't hate anything directly, but Kiss x sis would be the closest thing I guess.

Edit: Oh, wait, I guess Kanokon was worse than Kiss x sis.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: interesting concept, good pacing and a main character (Kyon) that feels really alive, mostly because of his lack of a solid morale.

Full Metal Panic!: to quote Yahtzee; "all the characters are either completely unlikeable, or act like they're from space." (I'm looking at you, Testarossa. Go die in a fire, you f***in' f***)

I love Higurashi, my favourite anime so far.

And I hate Kissxsis, I didn't make it through the first episode before I had a powerful urge to wash, although I kinda knew I would hate it going in.

Loved:
FullMetal Alchemist: The original anime, it just had brilliant pacing and compared to the manga/current anime rendition, it was much more focused and really had it's own emotion in it.

Huh, I guess it's 'cause I read the manga after watching the original anime. I personally loved the original, it had much better pacing and less ham-handed emotion to it than the current anime.

Code Geass: Again, brilliant storytelling if getting a bit convoluted towards the end. Great action, great characters, and a great ending I thought.

Death Note: ONCE AGAIN, brilliant storytelling, if getting completely out of whack at times with Light Yagami being way too smart for his (and the audience's) own good. Seriously, that guy must be psychic. Also a fantastic ending to the series.

HATE:
Naruto: While at first I did enjoy it to an extent (it was my first "real" anime that I watched), after a certain point I just stopped caring and started despising it. After Sasuke left for Orochimaru for pretty much no reason, the rest that I watched consisted of Naruto going "I have to find Sasuke!" and then going "Sasuke might be in this random town!" then going to that town and finding out "Wait a minute, Sasuke isn't here. But this town needs our help!" and then spend another 5 episodes helping out the stupid town then asking "Do you know anything about Sasuke?...No? Thanks anyway." and back to the village.

Yeesh! Just marry him already!

Love: A tie between Elfen Lied and Higurashi. Probably Elfen Lied - nicely paced, great characters, good (but short) soundtrack, sentimental.

Hate: Honestly most animes I see are ones people highly suggest.
