The title says it all.

We have favorite games for a reason. Sometimes, it's because the entire game is absolutely incredible. Other times, it's because of a single moment.

Every time we say a game is our favorite, there is a point, a brief moment where we think "This is likely my favorite game."

I want you to single out that moment and share it.

I'll go first:

In Kingdom Hearts 2, I fell in love with it when Sora and Kairi reunited in The World That Never Was. A hug. That was all it took for me to become the hopeless romantic I've become today.

It's either that, or when I was fighting 1000 Heartless in Hollow Bastion. Man, that was epic.

For Aquaria, I fell in love after the story you witness after defeating Mithala. It was really emotional, and may be one of the few times I've cried at a video game. Or breaking through the Veil for the first time. That too, was EPIC.

Fallout 3 earned its place in my heart when I heard Liam Neeson as the voice of the Dad. He's awesome, there's no other way to put it. Also, when I first saw the Wasteland after escaping the Vault.

So, how about you guys?

I was already pretty in love with KotOR when I realized the game's major spoiler - can't really pinpoint that one. But I can tell you the moment I fell in love with Morrowind was when I finally got past the "Vivec Informants" quest. After that, I don't know what it was. I was in love. I've logged over 400 hours in that game and I plan to add more.

The STALKER series... when the enemies first flanked me on the field and moved in efficiently, I knew I finally had a challenge.

The first time I saw Willamette Mall at a friend's house. I wasn't going to upgrade from my old xbox until I saw Dead Rising.

I truly fell in love with Mass Effect 2 once I saw the Normandy reborn.

Probably when Frog was first showed up in Chrono Trigger, love the game and frog is probably my favorite guy in it.

In Mass Effect it was when it started letting you play good cop bad cop, as much as I loved KOTOR I hated the fact you could ether be a saint or a phyco and that there wasn't any less extreme options.

Saints Row 2 and Portal for me.

saints 2 because of the amount of customization that is available on everything and the openness of the big world that allows me to do very crazy things from shooting poo on people's houses to beating of crazy fans.

Portal because of it's a giant puzzle and i like puzzle and strategic like games because of the challenge they present to me...i like using my brains to solve a problem.

first time I shoved a revving chainsaw into a Locust and my friend saying "wasn't that satisfying?" during a Horde match...its like the clouds parted and angels descended from heaven sustaining one note...I knew if I ever need to blow of steam again what I would play...

Emerging from the Vault in Fallout 3 is definitely going to be mentioned several times, I think. They did a great job capturing that "beautiful; but what now?" feeling, assuming that has a proper word for it.

I guess my other favourite game right now would be Mass Effect. The scene during which the Council makes you a Spectre was definitely one of the highlights of the early game, and it felt awesome.

As soon as I fought Magus I fell in love with Chrono Trigger. I think anyway as it is the most memorable part for me.

My first playthrough of bioshock (I tried it on hard difficulty) when I fought the first big daddy, the tension, fear, and difficulty of that fight really put the game to the top of my list, then... That ridiculously easy final boss fight with *Kinda spoilers* a naked blue guy really ruined it for me, but then i really liked the good ending, yeah yeah i know it was cheesy, but it was just soooo *ahem* heartwarming.

Also as soon as I saw the beginning to Katamari Damancy I knew I was gonna love it xD

During the second or third level on Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. It just felt "Wow! This is so cool!". However, I think the second it hit my possible favourite's list is the ending of Maximillian's level. Just how lovable the character was just made me love the entire game in it's wholeness. When I ranked it as my most favourite game was probably at some point where I was comparing it to Silent Hill 2 and Rune: Viking Warlord.

Stepping out of the sewers and gazing into the countryside in oblivion.

And the moment Daxter spoke in Jak and Daxter.

Metal Gear Solid 3, at the end of the game when you fight the Boss.

At first I was indifferent about it... but then the music kicked in. I goosebumps just thinking about how awesome it was. Now anytime I hear the MG3 themesong I get emotional.

I've already talked about that epiphany I had while playing Deus Ex so many times I don't feel much like repeating myself.
Suffice to say I fell in love with Deus Ex when I realized that all the Chinese soldiers I was murdering on the ship weren't actually bad guys.
