Pants! This is quite distressing, well hopefully they can live off in space gathering power until one day they return.

Atlus Faithful

What I care about is: Atlus will continue developing games for PS3, PSP, NDS and other consoles?

In all likelihood, yes.

This is what Red and I are saying, over and over. Atlus is not becoming a mobile games company. The original story doesn't even say that. This is purely a corporate maneuvering so that Index, which is a mobile games company, has easier access to Atlus IPs. That's all.

Please keep making games. Some of my favorite ps2 titles came from Atlus.

I hope all the developers go to another company.

W-W-W-WHAAAAAAT?

This better not be the case, they're one of the few developers willing to pull out some of the more unique titles from Japan.

Damn, this better not stop the development of Catherine.

Plus, Atlus was a pussy for not releasing Demon's Souls in Europe, so I guess I feel slightly satisfied. Yay...
well thats becuase Atlus USA produced Demon's Souls, which is different then just Atlus, since Demon's Souls wasn't produced in japan by Atlus, it was by Sony, so Atlus USA had no say in the matter. If anything get mad at sony for not, but atleast it did come out. :p

Atlus + NIS = All my JRPG faves.

World - Atlus = (NIS)/:(

I really hope they manage to wrap up the promised titles. DS2 and Catharine look amazing for fans of DS1 and Jean d'Arc, respectively.

Atlus better continue on in some form! I just bought 3D Dot Game Heroes and Demon's Souls.
No matter what happens to Atlus, those 2 games will still continue to be awesome. :)

What are you guys talking about? Demon's Souls WAS released in Europa, in a special way-better-than-yours super edition, called the Black Phantom Edition. And it was awesome.

This totally ruined my day, and my days will continue being perpetually ruined until Atlus' exact fate is determined. If that does not sooth my angst, I will most likely become an alcoholic and die bitter and alone. Atlus = MY HEART

Well, I guess that's what happens when you build your company on the mistranslation that excessive difficulty means fun.
..and yet it is in my top ten. I guess that's what happens when you make a good game.

Whaaaaaat? Why, they were my favorite developer. Who now will be my #1 pick for March Mayhem.

sad face...

That being said I don't see much change game wise from this. From the sounds of it there just "relocating" the Atlus division, so to speak.

I think basically what this means is, "You make successful games. You are now part of us. Now we make successful games."

Not to me, I think I'll go with Yahtzee on this one,"A challenge is one thing but trying to break down a fucking cement wall with your forehead isn't a challenge, it's grounds for getting fucking sectioned. Although I suppose succeeding in breaking the wall down would give a great sense of accomplishment which is just as well because you'll have lost all your other senses by then." Seriously these are the same people who said they get off on your tears.

I don't know about Demon Soul, but I played a lot of their RPGs (All the SMT games released here after persona 2) and their games aren't hard unless you put them at hard. It's not much of a brick wall, more like a dry wall (and FF is a paper wall).

I'm glad the change won't affect their games.
