HOW COME WE'RE ALL SO FUCKING SMART!?

No seriously I remember a thread awhile back about what your IQ is and not one person said below 130 (actually maybe someone did but very few). Us escapians are always comin up with bright shit on the forums and I've seen maybe like one or two hardcore christians (yeah yeah yeah....)

I mean seriously!

We should form a club (wait I guess we already did).

You don't have the usual cockpiddle you get on most forums of the degree of youtube commenters, and everyone always has a solid opinion on things (well mostly).

We're not, though. It's an illusion perpetrated by the unusual amount of intellectuals we have floating around. We've got competitive swimmers, martial arts masters, gun experts, linguists, historians, biologists... we're like the XKCD forums, except less snobby.

We still have our fair share of idiots, of course.

lol I got 142 on the MENSA test (thats my averadge [more or less] on all my other ones though).

This is possibly the biggest wank-thread I've seen. Which is saying a lot, on the Escapist. Nonetheless, if someone would direct me to this IQ thread, I find myself curious.

EDIT: Ahh, yes. I'm in a SPED program. Not sure if that term means much in other countries, but it means I'm dumb. In my case, I have some sort of learning-thingamajig I don't remember the name of.

I guess it's just from Yahtzee. We see a guy who we think is saying the whole truth about a video game, and are drawn to it. It's just based upon the "bait" put in front of us, so to speak.

I know there are the immature rants here and there, but for the -MOST- part, and especially in comparison with -OTHER- sites, people are just so much more level-headed (though take this with a grain of salt)

Because people can lie over the internet - its very easy...I'll post an example:

Again I disagree, I have noticed a recent upsurge in poor posting, poor grammar and just generally rude attitudes - sure I'm not exactly perfect, but when people post their thread titles without capital letters (pet peeve) or worse ALL IN CAPITALS LIKE THIS - well, it gets very irritating.

Yet we heap praise on one another as if this forum is somehow superior to about 90% of other forums - in fact I have seen a number of newcomers complaining we are overly hostile in our post - not to mention extremely elitist and big-headed. Don't make threads like this; sure there are a variety of intelligent veterans - but that doesn't make everyone on the site intelligent you know...
