Notice how anti-video game bills aren't getting passed any more? States got tired of footing the legal bills for the video game industry when they had to sue to reverse the laws that got passed.

I think guys, that he may have already stepped down as Attorney General! He is only going to stay as some other minister for 4 years, then he is retiring. This means, that as long as the next AG for South Australia isn't as retardo as Michael Atkinson, we should be level with the rest of the world pretty soon.

He will retire to the back bench and serve his full term but will not recontest the seat of Croydon in 2014.

Atkinson, who was first elected to Parliament in 1989, made the shock announcement outside a Prospect church just after 10.45am today.

I'm just posting this quickly, but it seems like all the negative press on him has finally had an effect.

People seem a little confused...

He's leaving the AG position as of now, but will stay on as a member of parliament for the next 4 years. We will have a new AG as soon as the new ministers are announced, and Atkinson will be nothing more than an ordinary MP for the next 4 years, until he retires completely.
