Well that sucks, because I really want to move there. It would make me feel really shit if I couldn't, like, seriously shit.

Anyway, from what I've heard, most insane comments come from a small but vocal part of the government. Like only óne Attorney General is against an 18+ rating, and he's the only guy you'll hear about, not all the others who want to go ahead with it.
look, if you come and embrace australian culture and earn the respect of the community you move into the people will welcome you, respect you and hopfully you will see what Australia has to offer. However if you move here and ignore local customs, make no attempt to adjust a little bit to fit in you will be recieved negativly. Australia is a great country and it is great the way it is, just come and make an effort to fit in observe the local culture and you should enjoy your stay.

The reason we dont really like the migration of people from other cultures is that in by allowing these people in we are losing our own.

'Nuff said.
so true

ok OP the australian censorship thing is a fucking joke honestly its pathetic.

immigration, simple, we just dont have the infrastructure to have any more people. some will say that "Australia is under populated, look at the mass of land they have" but the thing is alot of that is uninhabitable desert and our natural woodlands are growing thin. point is Australia cant deal with population growth and we as white Australians would liek the future population to be predominantly white Australians. Some people think this is racist but those people are wrong and i'll tell you why.

Think about this scenario; Your family has been living in a country for between 100-200 years (as my family has, various strands have come and gone but all my direct relatives have been for over 100 years) and your family has seen the country grow as you and your neighbors and fellow settlers(in some cases convicts) have built this country for the future of YOUR people.

Now would you like your country to suddenly have a massive massive influx of new people from other cultures coming living in your country (i dont really have any problem with other cultures as such its just that the main population of people (asians from china and south east asia and arabs)migrating to Australia have cultures that "clash" with ours, this soon becomes very frustrating). Competeting for YOUR countries resources. Oh and its unfortunate that they are often rude and feel like it is THIER home, its not yet but it will be.

Australia resettles more refugees than any other country in the world.

Oh and in most of my classes at school being a white australian is now an ethnic minority.
hoo rah soul brother

I liked the policy of just blowing up the illegal migrant boats, stopped them coming until the new government came in, all the while good honest people trying to get into the country the proper way have to wait up to 10 YEARS!!!! to get in, and these randoms are just let into the country with a free passport, citizenship, translation handbook and a packed lunch

whew lotta trollin'!

Australia is where the world was Beta-tested. For example, all the animals that didn't make the cut can still be found there(See the Platypus). It only makes sense that since Australia never closed down after the rest of the world was released and is still running on old code that it's political system has some bugs.
You leave da platypus out of this!!!!

They are kind, noble creatures.

Liberal Party of Australia is the name of the Center-right Party down here, while Australian Labour party is Center-left.

Labour being the current party in Power and thus the ones screwing everything up atm.
Uhh, no, not even close.

If you read up on policies of the government in the past, and compare it with the present, you might find that the current labor government is effectively what liberal government was about 30 years ago - Center right.
Liberal party is slightly more right.

We don't have a left wing party in australia, merely some left wing ideals in some areas of labour party, Kevin Rudd is basically a liberal leader of 30 years ago.
