Do you find that you have a bias towards or against a particular type of avatar? For instance, I tend to react negatively to loli avatars. Nothing against those who use them, I'm sure you're all wonderful people and whatnot, it's just that I find lolis to be inherently creepy and irritating.

Before you post, let me just ask that you not be an asshole about it. You guys like to think you're more mature than the average internet riff-raff, so prove it and don't act like a jerk-off.

With that out of the way, let the hatin' (or lovin') begin.

I don't think I have a bias against any type of avatar...

I do love avatars with awesome hats though ;)

I'm bias towards people with My Little Pony avatars because no one has yet to explain to me what all the fuss is about. Till then, it looks ignorant and like a passing meme. Sorry guys.

The search tool sure is a handy invention, isn't it? I'll admit, I tend to judge people who havn't asigned themselves an avatar. (Which is hugely hipocritical since I didn't have one myself for months.)

Really, only MLP avatars bug me... and only the ones that aren't awesome...

...I just don't get it!

I'll also admit to a slight anti-pony-avatar bias. So many avatars on the same theme in the same colour palette - it's remarkably hard to tell users apart with them, which is one of the main functions of individual avatars in the first place. Which isn't to say I ignore posts by users with them, just that I find it harder to keep track of the individual poster behind the pony

Some animated avatars have a borderline hypnotic quality, which means I spend a lot of time looking at them, which consequently means I spend a lot of time looking at the posts of the people who use them, making me more likely to reply.

I immediately assume 4chan meme spewing, Google translate Japanese babbling, loli watching Weeaboo when I see an anime avatar. Personal experiences have always been bad for me.

I'm with several posters in this thread so far. The loli avatars genuinely creep me out and the My Little Pony avatars bug me because it's a meme, it's not funny, and too many people are doing it. Also not a big fan of FMA and Death Note avatars. I'd definitely file that under "bias" just because I've known posters on other message boards that liked those avatars and also had a habit of being pretentious teenagers.

I know, the last one of those I got involved some kind of greek symbol... where the hell is that on the keyboard?!

As for the topic: I hate when someone's avatar has writing that due to being avatar-sized is no longer readable, NO ONE GETS THE JOKE BUT YOU!

I've gotten pretty sick of the My Little Pony avatars, to the point of not even reading most of the things those posters write.

Nah, not really. No avatars bug me, but lack-of avatars do. I remember people by their avatar more than their name usually so when someone doesn't have an avatar I feel kinda like I don't trust them in some strange way.

On a side note, I wonder if anyone has a bias to my Pulsating Vagina Monster gif that I made?

I really like it. I loved that short film.
OP: I really like pony avatars. Again, I'm a fan of the show.
