I liked Avatar,ok,it wasnt perfect but it passable. However Pandora is horrible place! Yes you have your lush scenery but living there,you would be under constant threat by the many hostile creatures we see in the sky as well as the jungles not to mention the Na'vi arent really that friendly and would probably just kill you on sight. Maybe the humans should just bomb the Na'vi and mine the shit out the planet!

I think "white messiah fable" applies more to when they change the society that they're "saving."
He became one of them; the only thing he did was to be stupid enough to stir 'em up into an attack and have inside info.
