Odd that so many people disliked it cause I was into it the whole time... up until they said "unobtainuim"... I couldn't take it seriously after that

I enjoyed this movie quiet well, James Cameron has never disappointed me before.

Well certainly there are people who take things to the extreme when something 'new' comes out (Referring to the stunning 3D effects).
Especially when it comes to escaping their 'mundane' lives. Just Look at MMOs and drug addictions.

Although I wonder why they'd want to visit Pandora, when everything there seems designed to kill you.

Anyways, your original post just seemed like a dig at people who liked the movie (I enjoyed it).

Agree'd. A problem for me tho, is that friends of mine have been constantly nagging about how awesome this movie is. This has turned me from wanting to see the movie, cause it gives me a headache every time I think of it! I guess I'll buy the DVD when it's released tho...
