Oi, lookie here, a reboot for an rp run by a slightly mediocre GM that fell on its face three miles down the line? Eeeeeeyup.

Anyways, the story goes you're all either brand-spanking-new acolytes of the White Lotus ready to save the world....or you're all a bunch of misbegotten mercenary whores out for money. There's a few sheets that are returning, so they've got spots reserved, you know who you are because I told you before I put this up.

It's Post-Roku, but before that pesky 100-year war starts, and an AU so all that special bending stuff that's somewhat widespread by the end of the first series? It's not really known that people can do that yet, one of the few limitations. And this is not a gritty, adult, Frankie Miller world, this is somewhere between the show, and real life, with a bigger emphasis placed on the show. So beer-swilling lugnuts walking through town that butchered your entire family with the nearest garbage pail handle? Not going to be accepting them unless the drunk hobo had a name rhyming with Momo and Appa at the same time.

You'll be starting out at the Earth Kingdom Avatar Temple, northwest of Ba Sing Se, either a mercenary/good samaritan/drunk shanghai'd bystander/wandering monk, or a White Lotus initiate/mid-ling level subordinate. They allow all benders and non-benders, so nothing to limit yourselves there with, but WL members will either have more respect or be hated as the worst of the worst depending on where and when you are. The exact time frame is four days after Roku's little disagreement with the volcano and no one but the inner circle of the Avatar Temples knows he's getting a new body.

Oh, and please just try to stick to the normal four bending styles, you all might get an upgrade as the rp progresses, or you might not, depending on how the character acts, but they'll also have to earn it through character development.
Name: self-explanatory
Gender & Age: how much do falling on narrow horizontal sufaces feet-side down first hurt you? And how long do you remember the pain?
Concept:bender,non-bender, which Region you're originally from, what type of bender you are, etc. It keeps it easy to find the basic stuff.

Appearance:how pretty are you? Or as the case may be, how much do we wish to look away from Sparky Sparky Boom-Man's ugly cousin?

Personality:how much do you abhor cabbages? Would you kick Flopsy when he's down? Or do you just go with the flow?(that's not an invitation, waterbenders) and think everything's hunky-dory? This is the one area that can pretty much afford to be barebones at worst, since it's kinda hard to figure out how you're going to play the character before the show starts and Fire Nation troops come down the mountain riding komodo rhinos and wielding fiery fires of fiery burny death.

Equipment:your swords, staves, weapons of mass bending supernovas, etc., go here, also go ahead and put anything special, I'm going to assume Waterbenders have at least a personal bending source on their bodies.

Fighting Style: this is really only for the non-bender sheets, so no real reason for benders to have this on their sheets, you've got your bending and the associated martial art I'll assume you're at least proficient in, unless this states otherwise.

And just for reference if you are going to look up your associated martial style, here's a vid that'll at least tell you the name so you can write it for your character. I'd rather have each character to write their combat scenes slightly different from one another, because I'm a pompous twat that likes watching my cardboard puppets fight for my amusement.

Animal Companions:entirely optional, but we like our little walking emergency rations around here. And try to give them a bit of personality too, and not just the rat you keep in your back pocket that ends up being the evil man's best friend.

Bio:guess what? You weren't born yesterday, so you can't be the Avatar, really the only limit I'm imposting. And also, Air Nomad sheets can have their Bison, but I'm imposing a limit of four grown bodies to a Bison(including the Air Bender steering, not a weight restriction, just a matter of space, you saw how crowded it started getting when Toph and Zuko joined in on the saddle orgy.(wrong choice of words not-withstanding, you know what I'm talking about.)

Why hello again, good sir! I'll be working on my character sheet down here.

Name: Kara

Gender & Age: Female, 22

Concept: Waterbending swordswoman from the Southern Tribe who walks the earth

Appearance: Kara is 5'4" and has dark brown hair, blue eyes which are darker than average, and tanned skin which is slightly lighter than average for a Southern Tribe member. Unfortunately, her 'occupation' has led to people mistaking her for male all the time, which she is very annoyed by.

Since Kara has been moving around the Earth Kingdom for a while, her clothing is dark brown; however, the tunic she wears is cut more in the manner of the southern tribe's warm climate clothing than the native style. Her hair is tied back, and she keeps her tribe's hair loopies in when possible (which is not as often as she'd like). Kara's arms and legs are wrapped in bandages; often her mouth will be wrapped as well, especially in sandier regions. She often wears a straw hat.

Personality: Normally kindhearted and relaxed, Kara generally isn't one to initiate fighting for its own sake or for a petty reason (results vary on whether confusing her for a male counts), though she can get into it once her blood gets pumping. When fighting, she will delay in delivering a finishing blow if she thinks the fighting can be stopped in another manner.

Equipment: Has a cane sword and a water skin.

Fighting Style: One-sword style. Her fighting style somewhat resembles aikido sword techniques -- deflecting the enemy's attacks, then taking advantage of the opening. This is supplemented by her waterbending, which can be used defensively to shield Kara or to augment her counterattacks. Her waterbending is usually for the close-range, so distance combat is an issue.

Bio: Kara was born and raised in the Southern Tribe by her father (her mother having gone missing years ago in a particularly severe snowstorm), and showed signs of ability in the tribe's bending art from a young age. A friend of her mother noticed the talent and tried to train Kara in the bending arts, figuring that Kara inherited her mother's ability in the healing abilities of waterbending. However, Kara had very little ability at the time, and soon grew disillusioned with her lack of progress.

Still a curious young girl, Kara soon stumbled upon her father practicing with a whale tooth scimitar, and asked her father about it. Her father showed Kara the blade, but was confused when Kara asked to hold it. He acquiesced so he could supervise her with the blade, and was surprised with how well Kara took to it -- with this, he decided to train her in the forms of the blade. Soon after, Kara's waterbending skill began to improve (though still lacking in the healing department) but she continued to excel with the scimitar, as odd as it was.

One day, Kara's father had been asked to supervise the ice dodging for the son of a late friend, and Kara had asked to watch while she trained in her waterbending. Her father agreed, and they set off. Since it was summer, they had to head out further to find suitable icebergs, and got caught up in a freak storm. Kara, observing their trouble, tried to call for help, but the waves caught her, sending her out into the sea along with them. All Kara can really remember after that was the rushing of water toward her, a sudden calmness, and then a rushing of water away...

She awoke several days later in the company of an air nomad, who had said he had seen her floating on a small iceberg and had not seen anyone else there. Assuming the worst, Kara ended up staying with the nomad for a short time before ending up in the Earth Kingdom. In the first town she visited, an old man was robbed and she went to assist him, grabbing his discarded cane and disabling the assailant. As thanks, she was given the cane which had a sword concealed inside it, and from there she wandered around, helping who she could.

Well, I just have players reserved, regardless of what they feel like doing, and in regards to the question, the ones reserved had a, more or less, even distribution across the bending and non-bending venues in the last boot-up of this. So, anything's up for grabs pretty much, two of every bending style and two non-benders at the least are kinda what I'm looking for.

I liked the RP, hated my character. I'll come up with a new one, if you didn't mind me jumping ship the second things got too slow.

Would it be alright if I resubmitted the character sheet from my last application? It wouldn't be too hard to fit in the White Lotus angle into his backstory.

Resubmission a go.

Name: Tsung Kuma

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Concept: Waterbender from the Northern Water tribe.

Appearance: Kuma has hazel brown eyes and scruffy black hair, which is always tied back with a black bandana. There is one, long scar running from the top of the left side of his forehead to below his eye. Being a pirate, his outfit is not indicative of any one nation. He wears dark grey pants with a matching grey tunic and a black sash. A black and gold captain?s jacket and gold colored sandals complete his outfit.

Personality: Kuma is very laid back. The problems of the world hardly ever affect him. He takes great enjoyment from his personal freedom, and is unlikely to stay in one place for long. When placed in a battle situation, Kuma is overcome with a spark of overconfidence and desire to see the fight to the end. If there?s one thing he will say he hates, it?s leaving anything unfinished or at a stalemate.

Equipment: Kuma carries a cutlass on the left side of his sash. Four medium sized pouches of water are strapped behind his back under his jacket. A bag of smoke pellets and his traditional water tribe dagger are placed on the right side of his sash.

Fighting style: While he has learned traditional water bending in his youth, Kuma developed his own style that focuses on trapping opponents with his water and sweeping in for fatal strikes.

Bio: Kuma grew up in a family of prefects in the northern water tribe. His father believed in hard work, and pushed Kuma to be the best at whatever he did. He hired on advanced tutors, enrolled him in water bending classes at the youngest possible age, and made him work for everything he was given. Kuma eventually became burnt out, and sent more and more time skipping classes and generally slacking off.

At the age of 11, Kuma was sent out with his uncle to the Earth Kingdom to do some trading with the locals and have a chance to see more of the world. On the way to the mainland, the ship Kuma was on was attacked by pirates. Kuma put up a fight but was knocked out by an attacker. He woke up several hours later on their ship, having been taken hostage. He was introduced to Captain Wei, the pirates leader. Though he was frightened of them at first, Kuma began to appreciate the pirates? care free lifestyle, and stayed with them as a full member.

Kuma spent the next six years sharpening his kill with the other benders on board and going on raids with his crew mates. Seven months ago, their ship was tracked by a trio of Earth Kingdom naval vessels. Captain Wei, instead of leading his men on a suicide mission, let the men escape in smaller crafts while he lead the navy away. Before going, Wei gave Kuma his jacket and cutlass as keepsakes. Without a leader, the pirates disbanded and went their seperate ways. Kuma has been traveling alone since then, looking for his next adventure.

Go on ahead, so long as you don't jump as soon as it slows down because of someone's schedule.

Go on, but sorry I can't guarantee you a spot for sure, I didn't feel like trying to get everyone together in the tea house right at the beginning this time. A bit different for everyone coming back.

Well, here's a slightly reworked version of my last submission.

Name: Shao Gaijin, the Nightbird of Ba Sing Se

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Appearance: 6' and of a lean build. Black hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. Wears an odd assortment of rags often associated with the city's gangs and criminal element, but not a cohesive set - that is, not the full attire of one gang, but pieces of each.

Personality: He carries himself with a sort of dignity not associated with his lowly birth. Has a very solid sense of justice and utterly despises people that exploit others for their own personal gain. He feels that his powers where bestowed upon him by fate to help the poor of Ba Sing Se by stopping the crime endemic to their lives.

Skills/Bending: A self-taught earthbender, Shao's techniques are the epitomy of practicality - while not graceful and highly unrefined, they are efficent and brutal - particularly against non-benders. He avoids fights with other benders, as he knows his lack of training is a serious handicap. Known throughout the city as an untapped talent, though he seems hesitant to take on a master.

Weapons/equipment: Carries a staff on him at all times. He uses it as an implement in his bending techniques, as a focus in creating shockwaves, as a bat to guide projectiles, and as a standard weapon, among other uses.

Back story: Being born poor in the slums of Ba Sing Se, Shao seemed destined for a life of destitution. His mother, a maid to a local crimelord, was seduced by a travelling entertainer, and left the city for good before Shao was born. Being raised alone by his mother was hard, and the day he turned seven, he was doing odd jobs around the city to support his family.

One day, however, the crimelord his mother worked for, a pudgy man by the name of Jio, crossed one too many of his rivals. They pooled money together and hired a group of mercenaries to take him down. In the resulting raid, Shao's mother was killed and Jio escaped unharmed. When they came for him, the mercenaries intended to take the boy, now only 13 years old, alive to sell as a slave. In a panic, Shao grabbed the nearest weapon he could - a simple quarterstaff - and brandished it in an effort to defend himself. The mercenaries laughed off this pitiful boy's attempt at self-defense and moved in to capture him.

In his desperation, Shao slammed his staff into the ground - and found that it trembled with enough force to throw his assailants off their feet! The men, taken aback, retreated, not wanting to incur the wrath of a powerful bender. Shao ran from the scene for his life and went into hiding.

He later discovered the circumstances behind the raid that killed his mother, and swore that he would take down the gangs running Ba Sing Se's slums to prevent such a tragedy from ever occurring again. To that end, he taught himself whatever earthbending he could, often with scrolls he stole from local bookstores. With this newfound knowledge and the staff he fled with all those years ago, Shao emerged at the age of 21 to take his revenge on the gangs that killed his mother. His heroics quickly garnered him a reputation as a hero of the downtrodden, and his black hair and proclivity to only work at night garnered him the nickname the Nightbird of Ba Sing Se.

In recent times, however, he's found his crusade against the criminal element of Ba Sing Se stalling. While the gangs that once ran the streets now meet regular resistance from their former victims, he's only one man. Luckily for Shao, his skill as a bender caught the attention of a prominent member of the Order of the White Lotus visiting the city. The man recommended he to journey to the Avatar temple to Ba Sing Se's south, in order to be formally tested as a field agent. He eagerly accepted, seeing it as an opportunity to help the world outside his home city.

And done!

Name: Kei Wu-Sai (Written in English format: Kei being personal name, Wu-Sai being the family/formal name)
Gender & Age: Male and 83
Concept: Old Martial Arts Master/Sensei, Originally from Fire Nation, wandering monk, non-bender

Appearance: Kei is an older man, and the years show. His hair - while still present - is thinning and grey. He keeps the hair in the traditional knot of his Shaolin training, and trails down below his waist. His skin is now permanently tanned from years spent under the hot sun, training. His clothing is somewhat ragged from years of travel; but is of clear Fire-Nation Martial-Arts origin. He wears a brown travelers cloak over himself; made to be warm enough in all but the coldest climates. Even in his age, his muscles (while diminished from his peak) are substantial and well built. Unlike his age, his eyes are piercing, betraying an overwhelming strength of personality. Despite the almost glare-like eyes, he wears a perpetual smile on his face; that only fades in the presence of true injustice.

Personality: Kei is the pinnacle of self-control and personal-strength. He follows his moral compass without variation; seeking to do what is right above all things. Kei follows the Shotokan Philosophy: remaining peaceful whenever possible; but opposing force with force. He would gladly give the shirt off his back for another in need; but those who abuse power, who act with irredeemable greed, or kill without remorse will meet nothing but 50 years of intense training. Morally ambiguous actions are handled on a case by case basis.

Equipment: Kei owns nothing he cannot carry. He has little need for weapons or armor, and as such only carries his clothing and the food/water he needs to survive. What he needs and does not have; he will acquire by doing work for those in need who can give him the tool he needs.

Fighting Style: It's better to ask what fighting styles he doesn't know. He has little experience with weapons outside those he learned as a soldier of the Fire Nation (basic swordsmanship, bowmanship, spearmanship), but has not used or needed such training in nearly 6 decades. He has trained in all manner of unarmed martial arts, from the furthest reachest of the four nations. Combined, he has dozens of styles to draw from, lending him a strength and versatility in combat that is nearly unmatched. Now, well passed his prime, he has lost much of the strength and speed that made him one of the foremost martial artists in the world; but has gained a level of experience that few ever achieve.

Animal Companions: Kei used to have a small cat-hawk as a pet, but she died several months ago. Kei has taken it as a sign that his time is running short, so he has stepped up his travels in hopes of "breaking even" - see below.

Bio: Kei began his life in a small, provincial village in the fire nation to a modest family. His mother's side of the family were simple farmers, eking out a simple life. His fathers side however had a long history of military service; defending their home from bandits, foreign nations, and worse. Though none of his family had ever reached a level of prestige, it was a proud tradition for the oldest child to join the army. Kei, however, was not the oldest; his brother Yuu was. Yuu went off to join the army while Kei was still small; and as such some of Kei's earliest memories are of his brother and father (when they were home) in their military formals, proudly speaking of their duty and accomplishments. Kei knew his duty was instead to watch the farm; to help it grow, so that the might feed their family and the fire-nation that protected them.

This all changed a few months after his 16th year, when a group of raiders attacked the small farmstead killing nearly everyone and burning their fields to ash when they did not find the wealth they sought. His father had been home at the time; and fought fiercely to protect their family; but died in the struggle. Kei would have died as well, were it not for a fortunate turn of events; the arrival of a Fire-Nation fire-bender squad. With noting left; Kei took his fathers uniform and weapon, then traveled to the fire-nation capital. There, he hoped to find Yuu, deliver the horrible news, and petition Yuu to take him into the army. Yuu accepted Kei's news and petition, taking him to the army for training.

Kei proved to be a talented student of the art of war; becoming an accomplished warrior and tactician in record speed. Many said it was a "gift"; Kei felt it was more his determination to learn and his hard work such that he could achieve some measure of vengeance. It was not long before he was assigned to the field, though not beneath his brother. Kei went into many battles against bandits and brigands; and even a few foreign conflicts. He never found himself to enjoy the taking of life, but he felt it was needed to protect the innocent so he suffered the burden; his conceptualization of the glory of war blinding him to the atrocities he was asked of. That is, until the small village of Shansho. Shansho was a fire-nation village of barely one-hundred people; hardly a major settlement. Unfortunately; they had decided to ignore Fire-nation laws and stopped paying their taxes. They had been ordered to the town; not to harm them - they were still fire-nation citizens after all - but to express the disappointment at the town and convince them to come back into line.

When they arrived however, they found that the town was under attack by bandits. Seeing the people in trouble, Kei began to ready himself for combat, when his commanding officer ordered them to stop. "They have not payed their dues to the Fire-lord, we have no obligation to protect them." he said; refusing to give the order into battle. Instead, Kei watched the massacre, unable to lift a finger to help. Eventually the town was razed by the bandits, who left with the spoils. The small battalion of fire-nation troops turned and left; there was nothing there for them to do after all. Kei watched the burning, unable to move or remove the sights of the atrocities from his memory

He left the encampment the following day; with neither permission nor word. With this, he began his wandering; unable to find purpose in his life or a way to cleanse his hands of his sins. Eventually however, he encounter a purpose and, though not a way to cleanse his sins, at least a way to break even; he found the Western Air-temple. Though not an air-nomad, and therefore unable to learn air-bending, he did learn the spiritual enlightenment of the people, and the basics of their way - to do as little harm as possible. He stayed with them for many years; learning their ways, then returned to the world a new man; not driven by honor, duty, revenge, or wrath; but by righteousness and kindness. He had a new goal in life; to help balance the scales of his sins. Though Kei knew he would never be able to truly undo his own mistakes; he sought to save lives and right wrongs as a form of penance.

His travels took him far and wide; and on them he learned many things from many people. He learned the ways of fighting from people across the four nations, learned tricks and trades, and most importantly learned of the struggles people faced and how to make them easier. He knows of people from nearly every corner of the world; no matter how remote. He swore to help others at all times; so long as they acted with virtue.

One of Kei's fellow disciples was a man named "Yoshida" - the father of Riku Yoshida. The two meet while Kei was seaking further understanding of the balance of the world in the southern air temple. Though he possessed no latent talent for bending, he made friends with the younger air-bender; even attending the mans eventual wedding and the birth of their children. He heard of the man's demise, but has not heard of he or his family since then.

If anyone wants to work on a shared backstory; let me know.

Well, I disliked firebending because the two abilities I planned on spamming were pretty under powered or didn't exist, so let's hope Air bending is more fun.
Name: Riku Yoshida
Gender & Age: Male, 23
Concept: Air Bender mercenary

Appearance: He is a small, thin man, standing at around 5'8, with an almost blonde orange hair, that is perpetually messy. He lacks the usual air bender tattoo, instead having a mimicry in the form of a black dragon running down his left arm. His preferred clothing is a loose wine colored tunic that reaches his mid thigh, black pants and brown boots that run up to his mid-calf, the edges flipped down due to their length.

Personality: On the outside he tends to be a bit obnoxious, seemingly arrogant and highly sarcastic. The truth is, he is ruthless and analytical. He actually dislikes violence, and will end fights with brutal efficiency. When he makes a friend, he is willing to bend over backwards to help them.

Equipment: A bladed fan [https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQPGCR9aiTHqQ4oZ14tcWcSuJdIOWfVn3WEbxhAzIbhFnVcUMjaGw] with the Fire Nation symbol on it.

Animal Companions: An old messenger hawk, a gift from his mother and a loyal beast. It refuses to travel too much though, as it is past its' prime.

Bio: His father was a Monk in the Southern air temple, though was fed up due to reasons he shared with nobody. In fact, he was a very quiet man, whom surprised everyone in the small Fire Nation village when they learned he had been in a relationship with a farmers daughter, and had sired twins, the air bender Riku and a firebender Sora. The two boys were content with their upbringing, they never had much but they were never found wanting. This changed when the Fire Nation bandits invaded. The day started off normally enough, the boys arguing over something trivial, his father tried to break it up, gave up and left it to their mom who sent them both to their rooms. Naturally, Riku ran to the farms to blow off some steam. He was one of the first to witness their charge. The bandits were ruthless, and bold, cutting down peasants and setting fire to buildings. Riku attempted to help in the defense after his shell shock wore off, working with his father and brother. Their valiant effort was for naught, unfortunately, as the village fell regardless. Riku had managed to escape without scar, but his brother lost an arm from the elbow down. They had managed to stop the bleeding and get a bandage for him. Thus began their travels, the stuff of stories really. The boys and father went around helping the defenseless and all that, though when they found dear old dad was too old to continue, they were forced to flee the nation they were raised in. They made it to Ba Sing Se, and continued their mercenary work. This eventually took a dark turn, as they were caught by two gangs they were harassing for several weeks. Riku left with but a few bruises, and one less brother. From then on he was more liberal with his jobs, instead of freelancing about, dispatching the villains with finesse instead of brute force. The White Lotus caught on too him quickly, and offered him a job. As this was during a time of famine instead of feast, he begrudgingly accepted.

I am going to copypasta Genji into this again. Avatar versions of Gara forever.

Name: Genji Ming-hua

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Appearance: Average height, about five foot eight, with black flowing hair and black eyes. He has piercing smooth skin and wears a flowing white cloak with a tiger across the back over white traditional clothes.

Skills/Bending: As a sandbender, he was trained to fight with grace and flare, somewhat like a waterbender and to direct the sand as a weapon of offense and defense. He always carries a large jug of sand on top of his sailer and uses it when necessary. His focus is on blocking enemy strikes with a fluid use of the sand and attacking any opening left for him. If in dire need, given some time he can crush and separate the earth around him in to sand.

Weapons/equipment: Genji prefers to go weaponless and uses the sand to block enemy attacks and as a spear on occasion. His armor is non existent as he wears clothes that allow him to move freely.

Animal Companion: None, GENJI IS FOREVER ALONE.

Personality: Genji has been taught to deal with things in an orderly and smooth manner, to be graceful but direct. He isn't blunt, but will call you out in his own way if he disagrees with what you are doing. He is confident and adventurous, often attempting challenges far beyond his level just for the sake of doing it. Genji has been taught to strategies before entering a fight and is always trying to be two steps ahead of the enemy. He will be patient and look for a weakness and one shows itself, throw everything in his power at it.

Bio: Born in the Si Wong Desert, he was trained from a young age to be a prodigal user of the rare bending art. While all earthbenders can use sand, very few can match the precision and power that Genji has over it. Even from his youngest age he showed real talent in the art of strategy and skill. Though his physical performances were usually lack luster.

When Genji was twelve, he was proficient in the sandbending styles that marked his area. To be able to withstand all of the enemies attacks, then strike their openings with all your force. He studied as many battles as he could and became an expert in the art of war by the age of fifteen. While he was happy in his home for a time, he found life there to be monotonous and boring. It was when he turned sixteen and his master finally succumbed to his age, that Genji realized nothing could come of living in the desert forever. Within a month, he had prepared himself to leave and go to the Earth Kingdom, a place where he could truly shine.
On his first week in the Earth Kingdom, he could hardly contain his excitement but he felt as if he did not belong. Traditional clothes from his homeland were scrappy at best and did not fit with the very traditional and fancy looking clothes he was surrounded with. He eventually found a home with a shopkeeper and her family when a robber was attempting to steal a large sum of goods and he stopped the man cold. The shopkeeper repaid his kindness with dinner at first but when she found out about his situation, she took him in to her family. What he did not know was that she was actually part of a very wealthy family that pooled together their resources. They gave him new clothes, proper washing and good food and he found himself remade as a citizen of the Earth Kingdom. While at first he found everything about them strange, he soon adapted and quickly gained fame. He still has his sailer stowed away in one of the guest houses and keeps bags of sand on him in case he needs it, though the large jug of sand that he once used is also stored inside the sailer.

Around two years later, he still found himself nowhere near where he wanted to be and it drove him to look at the military. Though he did not fit with their general formations, he found himself right at home with strategizing and while he still has yet to join the military. He is currently devising a way to prove his ability to form plans of attack.

If anyone wants to work on a shared backstory; let me know.
I'm up for that. How do you think an Air-Bender mercenary would fit into your story?
Well; Kei is - to compare him to the original series - a bit like Iroh; he's meant to be the old, wise man more then anything else. There are a few similarities between the character's stories - trained by air-benders, some elements of Fire-Nation in them, bandits killing families. It's possible Kei would empathize with Riku and try to guide him down a more peaceful path then the one he's on now.

That said; Riku's "obnoxious, seemingly arrogant and highly sarcastic... ruthless and analytical" parts likely prevent a true Student-Sensei relationship, unless Kei is trying to teach Riku to overcome those parts of his personality.

Any ideas on your end?

Hmm... Possible they traveled back when Riku had any semblance of a family, adding your character into a few of their adventures like the Harlem Globetrotters in Scooby Doo would be possible. Probably after his dad left the scene, they could've known each other, perhaps taking the brothers in on their way to the city?

Possible. Question though; is Sora another character that hasn't been submitted or an NPC?

Edit: Also: sleep time.

He would be an NPC, unless someone wanted to play a one armed firebending twin to my character. I get the feeling nobody would though. Also, he died but I could easily edit.

Name: Mieko Ruzhang
Gender & Age: 20
Concept: Fire Bender

A shorter women standing five foot six. Light red eyes. Often wears black makeup. Picture states the rest.

Personality: Strong willed, proud and undisciplined. She is a rebellious rose that is blossoming into a women. Her nature clashes against the culture of the pre-war Fire Nation. In secret apart from her outward perception she is fragile from the years of ill acceptance from most others for the way she acts. Many nights she has cried herself to sleep. These conflicting forces feed off each other, slowly driving her to isolation and depression and exacerbating the aggressive nature she has. Humans are creatures of change though, and few ever fail to yield to it.

Equipment: A small pack to carry what she needs. She also has her flute and a bag of Pai Sho pieces, both very sentimental items for her.

Bio: Zara was raised in a small village in the south east of the Fire Nation's largest island, and was both the youngest and only girl in her large family full of bustling brothers. Her parents had been desperate for a little girl for a long time so they were overjoyed at her birth. At the discovery of her bending talents however, they were over the moon. In the 100-person-only small village she was the only female firebender. Because of both these facts Zara was spoilt lavishly by her parents, and always received more attention than her brothers. This turned them aggressively jealous of her, and she was often picked on, teased and left out. Amongst all the children of the village she gained a reputation as a freak and was out-casted and ignored. She became fiercely independent as a factor of this. Left mostly to her own devices she spent her time practising the three things she loved most, her bending, music and playing Pai Sho with an old man named Qim, who unlike most of the other villagers, admired her firebrand style. Qim taught her to play the game one day when her mother was in town chatting with other women in a friends home. He was outside on the veranda doing whatever old guys do, and asked as she walked by if she'd like to learn the game. This formed a lasting relationship until Qim's death, she played afew matches once a week with him. It was a blow and a half to lose such a good friend when she had so few.

"See the world and be enlightened". Something the old man said weeks before his passing.

Six months past her eighteenth birthday, she left home with her parents blessing to follow Qim's words. She never told her parents it was that reason she wanted to go, but with what she had told them was good enough. Dad cried to see her little flower-blossom go. It was funny, sad, embarrassing all at the same time, just like him. While mother was near the same, she kept composure 10 fold better than her father, but it was still emotional.

Mieko saw some of the Fire Nation, she'd never been to far from her home town in all her life so it was interesting and hassling. Remembering the old mans words, she sailed across the ocean to the Earth Kingdom. A county as vast as an ocean. Here she continued on to explore the world, Ba Sing Se was her initial goal to reach. She funded her trip by doing odd jobs for villages she past through on the way, and gambling in Pai Sho. It was by no means a gold paved path. She was nearly in rags by the time she reached the great walled city, but with hard work and luck she afforded new clothes and stayed some time there, absorbing the culture and knowledge others afforded on her. She eventually left the city for new destinations, the last of which so far has been the Earth Kingdom Avatar Temple.

Repost of Geb coming up!

Name: Geb Xirang

Gender & Age: 21, Male

Concept: Native Earthbender from Omashu

Appearance: Black hair, stubbled face, hazel coloured eyes. Heavily tanned skin. 5'8", broad shoulders, stocky build.
Traditional Earthbender attire, except he prefers to not wear a shirt, finding it too restricitve exposing his bare chest and showing of his muscles, of which he has plenty, the only thing he wears on his upper half is a large beaded jade necklace.
He has the symbol of the Earth Kingdom tattooed in between his shoulder blades, with a character that roughly translates "Resolute/Unyielding" inside it.

Personality: Geb is a hothead keen to settling any disagreements with his fists/bending rather than with words.
He likes to think of himself as a ladies man, boasting of his unmatched strength, always keen show off his physique.
Geb is an inherently proud person, to the point of sometimes being very hard-headed and stubborn, refusing to budge on matters he feels particularly strong about.
Although initially grating to be around, like Jennamite Geb quickly grows on you. He believes in the concept of honour, forming strong bonds with those that earn his trust and respect.

Equipment: Stone Sandals. Part of his bending, used to slide across the ground.
Geb also has a large Jade bead necklace which is a family heirloom, it is his personal treasure, and his most prized possession.
A dagger fashioned from a single crystal, native to the underground caves of Bae Sing Se. Used as both portable light source and a last ditch weapon.

Animal Companion: An Ostrich Horse called Coco, his pet, his friend, and his preferred method of transport. An exceptionally rare specimen, Coco is golden feathered, and as such was abandoned by it's mother for not being normal.
Raised from a chick by Geb from childhood, the pair grew up together, both pushing each other's limits. It was with great difficulty that she was tamed, and allowed itself to be mounted.
The fastest Ostrich Horse in the Earth Kingdom, according to Geb at least. They often take long rides together for him to clear his mind. Although omnivorous, Coco is partial to Leechi Nuts for a treat.

Fighting Style: Geb's fighting style is more offensive than traditional form espoused by the masses, with more of a focus on powerful punches to send rocks hurtling with speed towards his enemies. He also likes to augment his fists with rock gauntlets Although this is his preference, Geb still has the well defined legs native to using traditional Earthbending, and is just as capable using traditional form if necessary.

Biography: Geb was born into a upper class family in Omashu.
From an early age, Geb was a natural Earthbender, his favourite toys from childhood being his stone marbles which he was fond of manipulating. He suffered from early difficulty controlling his ability, and on several occasions highly destructive, much to the dismay of his parents. He was never one to be confined, or discriminate based on class, but preferred to hang around with other earthbending children, regardless of their background. Never being particularly bothered by the class system that dictates much of the rest of the Earth Kingdom.

Both of his parents were non-benders, and as such they didn't know how to cater to the needs of the boy, although they did try their best, and were incredibly patient with him and his various escapades, which usually involved encounters with the local guards as well as general shenanigans. One night, when Geb returned with a small Ostrich Horse chick, they allowed the young boy to keep and raise it, hoping that it would soothe his relatively confrontational nature, as well as cause him to focus on more domestic matters, such as maintaining his family's honour and appearance. In fact, it did just the opposite. As the pair grew, Geb grew alongside it, becoming stronger and more independent. With Coco, he finally had the means to feel the freedom he had always wanted.

When Geb came of age, his father hoped that he would follow in his footsteps and become an accountant or banker, however Geb did not possess the mathematical aptitude expected of him, and that, coupled with his rebellious nature, caused a falling out with his father, and a rift was created between them. Feeling that he was no longer wanted by his own family, Geb left Omashu to explore the Earth Kingdom, as well as to further practice and hone his own bending, training with anyone who was willing to take him.

Atop his trusty steed Coco, he travelled the length and breadth of the Kingdom, visiting the capital, as well as many of the lingering, outlying villages and towns, learning from the best local earthbenders. It was during his travels that he had an altercation in a tea house with a member of the Dai Li. After resolving the conflict and witnessing their immense skill, he developed a deep admiration for their order, and emulated many of their techniques and incorporated them into his bending repertoire.

Edited for improvement, may do some later revisions too.
