Nice avy change!
Thanks!
The show is one of the best kids cartoons I've seen in years. Its amazing how much they've been able to pull off. Though the "kiddie"-ness has squandered its full potential a little bit, it also kind of makes it charming. The bending packs a punch, and things like Firebending look brutal, but theres never any gore that gets in the way of the moves. The characters are also pretty awesome, I feel like the show got off to a slow start, but by the end of the first season really became a phenomenal. I mean, the episode where the Northern(?) Water tribe gets invaded is to die for. I love how they've implemented Steam power into it as well. The "tanks" were cool as hell the first time I saw them. The humor does hold it a bit back though, but a lot of it is genuinely funny. (The uncle is a riot, and quite clever as well). Another thing I really like is just how clever the show is, there's barely any episodes where the use of force is prominent, and problems have much more clever solutions than just kill everything. Anyways, I'm rambling.
Yeah, it really is. I wanted to mention Uncle Iroh and the Fire Nation's odd steam-punk thing they have going, but I was beginning to ramble as it was.
As for the review, it had a lot of good stuff in it, but it needs a lot of work. I dislike the excessive use of parentheses, a lot of that material in them should have either been removed or added into the review. A couple pictures wouldn't hurt get the point across either. Its a good review, but just needs to be refined a little.
Thank you, I'm a bit new to the whole "reviewing" business, any and all criticism is welcome. As for the parentheses, that's a crutch of mine I've been trying to wean myself off of for a while now, but old habits die hard.

EDIT: Also, yeah, I did add pictures after posting the review. I was originally planning to put them in beforehand, but between the time where I copied the review from my Google Doc where I was typing it and hitting the post button, I forgot. I added them almost immediately, though.
You're forgetting about the unknown fifth element.....BOOMERANG!!

Hey, look on the bright side. Besides main characters, we still have Roku, Pakku, Jet, Suki, June, Zhao...
Bumi too. And Jeong Jeong, played by Doc Brown. YEEEEEESSSSS

We'll see, anyway.

Besides, I can't see them putting Hama in one of these movies anyway. She was important to Katara's character development, but not really to the plot.
But bloodbending. I mean, Waterbending up to 11? I will be disappointed if they don't do it, but not necessarily surprised.
Bloodbending is cool, but never really all that important. Besides on Hama, Katara only uses it once.

Ha, to sort of roll with that quote and what you said before it, they then used that silly scene to develop Aang's character and introduce the main moral quandary of the finale: is killing appropriate if you have no other choice? But for executive meddling (presumably), that would have led to the use of a moral I haven't seen before or since: that killing (and by extension, other, distasteful things that some people watching the show might actually have to do) is awful, but we simply need to sometimes. In Aang's particular case, that was even made into "Screw your self image, you have a responsibility to the world".

Btw, I might have a answer to the people who said that Koh and the avatar never met again. He could have ment a couple of different things.

A) He would meet Aang again, maybe not when he was young, but perhaps when he older. Or when Aang needed more info about the spirit world. (Which we might seen later on, which I'll say later in this post)

B) The creator possible were going to make Koh a villain in the later series, but decide against it.

C) When he said they would meet again, He could be talking about another life. As in the next series of Avatar. Which I heard reports about Avatar the legend of Korra.

Also quick question, did anyone notice right after Aang left Koh, didn't that face look like Iroh in a younger age?

Earth Kingdom = China
Fire Nation = Imperial Japan
Quite a common misconception, but the Fire Nation aren't Imperial Japan so much as they are Qin/Han dynasty Imperial China, when the Chinese empire was still expanding but before the Three Kingdoms period. All of their fashion, architecture, and even the look of some of their technology all hails from that era of Chinese history (Qin dynasty China was very advanced, they had iron smelting, small scale blast furnaces, crossbows, etc. in 200BC).

The only really explicit Japanese influence in the show is Kyoshi Island.

The Earth Kingdom is later Yuan/Ming dynasty China, when the empire was settled and began to become insular.
