I've changed my avatar 3 times. I like sticking with one for a while but at first I had a fancy southern cat from a web-comic, then for ages I had a default hyrulian symbol now I have Creeper face.

I never change my avatar. Ever since Fanboy made me this animated beauty, I have not switched it. And I never shall. For it is awesome.

I've only ever had this Avatar and I probably won't change it anytime soon.

Probably stick with the one I have its a generic one that was on the list but I quite like Kenshin so its not a problem. Im not one to change avatars much on anything, although I dont hold any attachment for them either for the most part.

As long as im fairly happy with one that will do I sort of forget about mine after a while anyway tbh.

I rarely ever change my avatar except for seasonal variations. I think the last time I truly changed my avatar was over 3 years ago. ...well I did briefly change it to Majin Buu about a month ago because I wanted to get involved in that You Are Your Avatar RP thing, but that didn't work out so I immediately changed it back.

I've gotten into a kind of calender thing where I change mine with a different album cover each month. I realise this means a lot of people won't remember me, but then with the exception of people on my friends list, this would most likely be the case anyway as I'm not quite masochistic enough* to delve into the R+P section or enter into Gender Thread #00760345 wherein you tend to see the same people cropping up. Plus I don't tend to post something controversial/insightful/thought provoking enough to warrant attention; normally sticking to a pretty laconic post, so as not to fill up half a page with some meandering fluff that nobody is going to read. Besides, I think it's nice to change things up every now and then. :3

I never change mine unless I find a better yinyang symbol and I prefer this one because of the claw design.

I never change mine.

I don't have many friends on here, nor do I think people recognize it much, but I feel like it's my picture. It's a picture that no one else on the internet has, because it's a Smash Bros. Brawl snapshot of a texture I made a long, long time ago.

I change it on Steam though. Currently, it's a picture of Sakuya Izayoi, but it was Reimu Hakurei a couple weeks back. I changed my display name accordingly. I kind of want to change it back to how it was originally, though.

let me think i did change my avatar once ... that was around 12 years ago.

I changed it from both characters kissing to this one. I picked it because kimagure orange road is one of my fav older anime serie (also i like the coupling a lot). I also have this avatar backed up on many places so i ill not lose it like the first one i had.

I've had this avatar for pretty much my entire time here, and I keep it because I haven't really found one I like any better. Which fortunetelling means mine will probably remain rather small.

I'd change my avatar if I could find a decent gif of Hazama being a badass. I used to change it a lot, but after playing BlazBlue, Hazama is just one of my favorite characters in any game. I'm also wholly unoriginal.

Others though prefer to stick with one avatar, rarely changing it at all

My question to you is: which do you do (change or keep) and why

I do it because I get bored easily with what I have and like keeping things different, personally

Not really a prolific poster so it doesn't really matter what avatar I use, just can't be bothered to change it.

When I feel like making a new one, I make a new one. That can be every week or once a year.

I like my owl, I identify with it and its glorious fluff. And being recognizable is nice, pictures are easier to remember than names.

It was a gif of a sprite of flying esper Terra but was changed because it was said to be too small by the Rate Above Avatar guys over at Forum Games.

Then it's the one I have now and I kept it because the guys said it was just right.

Might change to magitek armour Terra moving the opposite direction or forwards though.
