AvP epic fail or not?

I recently got avp for the xbox 360 and having been a fan(a big one) of avp 2 i have to admit i got sucked into the hype. But 1 day after ive owned it finished all campaigns on normal and played many a match online. I have to admit to being MASSIVELY dissapointed this was the kind of game i was dieing to play but it felt like i was dredgeing through gaming hell. The levels were linear and dull. In all single player modes you visit ALL!!! the same maps but in a different order. I felt the single player was at best abit shakey with the crappy graphics any time you look at an area it seemed to get darker or is there just sumthing wrong with my eyes?!? Predator was fun at first but then it just got to three killing choices. 1. Rape them from behind (annoyingly repetitive moves). 2. Kill them with one of your gadgets which one of them the disc doesnt killing anything for three throws 70% of the time. or 3. slash the mighty hell out of them with your dual blades(far to long and two of them??) which i might add are an adaptation from the avp movies (which were gash) not the predator movies or games. The alien single player felt about the 1/3 as long as any of the others and its a ***** to control. You spend time luring and creeping up on some 1 then u jump down and ur facing a brick wall and get shot. Marine was abit fun near the end but i felt the lack of being able to aim (zoom in) was abit of a pisser even though the old one diddent have it ITS FUN TO AIM. I was pritty pissed when i completed all single player stuff in less than 10 hours of gameplay. Realy me just venting but i wanted to know especialy from people that did not play the pc (awsome ass) one feel about it??? (i know my spelling sucks)

Haven't played the full game yet, but I have played the MP demo and I had a lot of fun with it.

I admit it had some flaws but overall I enjoyed it.

I'm surprised anyone is disappointed with it anyway, whether or not it's good.

Did people really expect a masterpiece from the same devs whose recent roster includes Shellshock: Blood Trails and fucking Rogue Warrior...

Yes i also played the multiplayer demo and actuly that put me more towards the game. The mp is quite fun with some interesting stuff. But dear god yes those moives totaly destroyed the franchise..........there should be a ball chopping law for it. But scarely enough they take A FECK TON from the move predators underground temples getting humped with, Bishop from the aliens movie some how being involved with everything ( does any 1 have any idea about the timeline of this stuff??), the whole gay thing that predators had the humans as slaves and such. Honest 2 christ when u see those stupid ass statues of the predators kneeling infront of a temple with there spears out i mean come the hell on HOW CAN YOU GAY UP PREDATORS!!!!!!!

also i find on multiplayer every time you grab sum 1 ( fun 5-10 seconed cutscene with u ripping ppl apart which is a instant kill) theres allways sum 1 ready to grab you right away after your done. Im not sure if they can kill you while your ripping sum 1 apart but its very possible

Honestly, Its a game I want to love soooo muuuchhh, but just shoots me in the head continuosly.

Its innovative and fun in so many arreas, but in the basics it just fucks up man!

Pros: Aliens transitioning is innovative and once you practice, is fun and easy to use. Predators are cool, period.

Cons: Marines are rather bland, RESPAWNS, campaigns are rather repetitious, RESPAWNS, RESPAWNS, RESPAWNS. Oh yeah, and the Matchmaking service is Unforgivable.

I'm still playing the game since day 1. Why the hell is everyone basing their opinion on a game they havn't played on a demo with only one game mode and 9-month old code?

I'm enjoying the game tons. There's flaws, yes, but you can easilly overlook them. The game's made for multiplayer as well, anyways, so don't be surprised if the campaigns are weak, they're also short considering they had to work on three seperate ones.

The problem for me is that the entire concept of AvP sounds good on paper, but frankly, I never found the Predator to be that exciting. Of all the Alien or Predator movies and all the games, nothing has the sheer "awesome" of good old Aliens (note the s; Alien was meh, Aliens was awesome). For me, the best game would be a pure Aliens game, taking place in space/on ships/colonies recreating the entire squad based Aliens experience of a Colonial Marine. No stupid Predators. No bullshit jungle locations. Just pulse rifles, big ass heavy machine guns on cranes, and Aliens. All the claustrophobia, none of the pretentious crap.

I still belive colonial marines is coming out sounds like your thing Alarien. I no doubt think i was so pissed because yes a remake of the kick ass game wud have been awsome............if it haddent been dolts making it. They removed near enough everything that made avp 2 good
