AvP or Just Cause 2?

In my opinion: NEITHER
JC2 is fun, but it's entirely repetitive and it gets boring quickly enough.
AVP, from my experience is far too balanced. The marine can take on a predator and win.

JC2. I've only played the demo of it, but, having AvP, I can say you will have more fun with Just Cause 2.
Well in the end I went with both (I have doubts about AvP but it's the pulse rifle sound effects... I just couldn't resist) but Just Cause 2 got installed first and after an hour or so all I can say is... wow, you guys weren't kidding. It's like the most awesome 80s action movie ever made, and is so insanely over the top it makes Saints Row 2 look like the last word in ultra-realism by comparison.
Just Cause 2 is nothing special. But there is some fun to be had. You can pull of some pretty crazy stunts. Sadly the repetition ensures that the game far outsays its welcome.
AvP is utter crap, pure and simple.

I had way more fun with Just Cause 2. I just liked the open world, the modes of transportation, and especially the total havoc you could create with the grappling hook 
AvP wasn't all bad, but just much too linear and short for my liking (judging from a LP I saw because my money is too valuable to spend blindly on generally poorly rated games).

In a year of so many incredible games you're now choosing between two of the worst. I'd say save your money.
I can't speak for JC2, I haven't played it. But I had good fun with AVP. The campaigns were... ok. Fun in parts, especially as the Alien.
Multiplayer I think is great, it's, like the campaign ok, but now either really great or really shit. If it's in a three-way deathmatch, it gets seriously tense when you're being hunted as a Marine, and it's great fun stalking prey as the extra-terrestrials.
However, sometimes there'll be a case of "HOW THA FUCK DID HE KILL ME!!!?!". You know, when you're pretty damn certain the kill is yours, then he turns around and skull fucks you in the face. That can get pretty annoying.
I wonder if there are any people still playing the MP, though...

Yeah there's nothing exaggerated about Just Cause 2.Diving out of an airplane two thousand feet in the air and shooting a grapple hook to reel yourself into the slab of concrete you where about to decorate with your brain,at the last second second,to land safely on your feet without breaking every bone in your body.That's perfectly normalpoiumty said:

Haven't played AvP, unfortunetly, but I got Just Cause 2 and I had a damn fun time with it.
I recomend it warmly! Just take notice that it doesnt last 100 hours+ unless you want to 100% complete the game. I finished it at around 20 hours, but I'll get around to try fully completing it some day.
Only thing that I really hated about the game was the vehicle physics. Even if you just nudge something while in a vehicle it'll fly away from the impact site. It made chase-missions extremly hard.
