The Beatles

ACDC
Shame on you. AC/DC are all Australian, and of Scottish descent prior to that!
Isn't acadaca's singer a Geordie, or something?
Well, yeah, Brian is. But AC/DC started with Bon Scott, in Oz, and he was Australian and of Scottish descent too. Brian must feel kinda out of place :p

Canada:

The Forgotten Rebels
Our Lady Peace (at least, their first couple of albums count anyway)
The Tragically Hip
Stars
Metric
Broken Social Scene
The Dears
The Stills

And so on.

For some reason, Canada seems to be putting out a lot of indie/hipster bands these days.
