My Academic Team has a ton of these.

Cesarean Vampire
Defenestration
Transgender Grimace (We say that Gossamer from Looney Tunes and Grimace from McD's had the WKU Hilltopper for a kid, and Grimace was the mother.)

Sabre & Co. (stylized exactly how I wrote it)
Titus Groan
Men in White Suits

I think those are pretty good.

Once when I was driving through another state, the radio stations I normally listen to went out of range, and there was absolutely nothing to listen to besides talk radio, which I can't stand.

But while trying to contain my temper listening to some douchebag pundit rant, I thought, "Hey! Know what weould be an amazing name for a band? 'Rush!'"

I practically kicked myself when I realized a second later that that name was pretty thoroughly taken.

This name was cool in 2008.

Made a bunch of times before, but whatever. Mine is Dullness And Slog, because yahtzee said it. There was also a German word my friend really wants to use has a band name, Stürmich, can't remember what it meant though.

I always say, get a strange name, not a pretentious one, like, I don't know, Arch Enemy.
I recommend: The Insane Ramblings Of Sebastian Arcturus Tan II Esq., Written In Blood On The Hides Of Infidels.

Yes... 'Arch Enemy' is MUCH less pretentious than...say...The Insane Ramblings Of Sebastian Arcturus Tan II Esq. or Written In Blood On The Hides Of Infidels

Did you even think, about what you said here before posting it?

OT: (the) Funhouse Effect

My Rock Band band names are...

Manos and the Hands of Fate (After the infamous movie)
Never Gonna Last (Because we all argued about which band name to originally choose, and our guitarist just shouted "We're never gonna last with all of this arguing!")

And my personal favorite...

East Dakota.

My actual bands name though, is Nightfall in Eden, though I'm not too huge on the name anymore.

Also, I wanna start a Rush cover band and call it "Hurry".

Catacombs of Deceit is always a name I use for bands

On a side note I was in a band (though very short lived) called Frozen by Flame.

"Whos playing at Glasonbury again Stuart?"

Infinite Mischief

I got the idea from something.
That's where I get my best ideas from.
I remembered. Medal of Honor: Airbourne demo. It's the mission name.
If I were to have a band name based on a mission name from a video game, I would WITHOUT A DOUBT go with Infinite Devil Machine. So Awesome.

Third door on the left *Bad bad ripoff* of a shitty band.
I really think it depends on the kind of music you play. Just make it simple and easy to remember. Two words no more than that. It never hurts to name the band after what you think your first big single will be.
