Family guy/Amercan dad/South park, although not to the end, it's not that good.

To be honest, I don't watch tv that much anymore.

You're including anime into the mix? Woo hoo, I can contribute.

Neon Genesis Evangelion
Welcome to the NHK
Paranoia Agent
Yu Yu Hakusho
Azumanga Daioh
Blood +

A random mix from most of the animes I've watched. I loved all of 'em.

Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.
Both are awesome sci fi series with great stories and characters and some awesome space battles in a few of the episodes.
Action packed excitement mixed with compelling drama, what more do you want
I should also point out that they restarted Atlantis on Sky one today in the UK. Double episodes monday to friday from 5pm UK time

Well there is always the first ever Sci-Fi comedy, Red Dwarf, a BBC show.
It may be old, but it is as great as the day it was made. Has a decent amount of episodes. But generally just fantastic, and I can highly recommend it. Especially if you enjoy Sci-Fi and comedy :D

Battlestar: Galactica
-Starts off great with a mini "made for tv movie" premier. It sounds like a silly sci fi show but actually it's very good, the mid seasons have their dry moments with politics but I even found that part interesting. In short it's a show that tackles diverse topics using the setting of a war ship and the remainders of humanity in a small fleet, with robots who are controlled by more advanced robots who the humans created trying to eradicate humanity.

Big Bang Theory
-Pretty funny sitcom about 4 losers. Usually doesn't appeal to people of lesser intellegence, because they have jokes about physics and math priciples among other things. Also, they love Battlestar: Galactica.

Anyway these are the two most recent one's I've watched.

Chuck.

It's very funny with some nerd humour and references. Very fun to watch and, for me, doesn't get boring.

Dexter=best show on TV, you'll love that unless you hate crime shows and Hero's (at least the first season) is really good to but as for what you don't have on there Californication is pretty good and if you haven't seen it then The Soprano's (i don't think that that needs an explanation and if you like that then watch the brotherhood), or Weeds has a good mix of comedy and drama, and Entourage which is really funny and just fun to watch.

Edit: Forgot Flight of the Concords, starts of a little slow but gets pretty funny.

I would recommend the first 2 series of 24 , after that they become highly silly. That plus after a while you realize theres plot , but its always going to go one way.

I would also add onto that list. I realize i might be repeating otheres.

SouthPark- season 13 is great. Chicken , cow .... CHICKEN... COW!! lol
Futurama- A funny show that had a decent plot , was a shame it ended as soon as it did.
Firefly- yes theres really only 1 season , but its great.
Dollhouse- i enjoy the plot
Castle- funny take on the muder mystery
How i met your mother- Funny as hell , like the way they have the story.
The Riches- Eddie Izzard is great, recommend his standup as well.
Buffy - the first season is kinda weak , the last couple are more for the real fans, but its still a great series.
TopGear- even if you don't really like cares its still a fun to watch. Love the interaction between the hosts.

Had another thought, watch YuGiOh the abridged series. Then watch the actual series. It is an epic time filler and all the episodes are on youtube. I actually prefer it to Pokemon because, while the games combat made sense, the show made the contest actually stupid. Well, actually this is true of YuGiOh too for the first series at least... this is part of why you should watch the abridged series though and THEN the real thing, it makes it funnier, though you'll probably start liking the characters too (try to ignore all those silly card games).

(If you're REALLY bored, watch YuGiOh GX, it takes the piss out of itself quite frequently and also has The Chazz, the best character in anything I've ever seen, ever. Also my friend spotted a hitchhikers guide reference too the other day, take THAT pokemon)
