I remember the time when you had a cellphone if you needed to be available for your job 24/7. The time when you had your friends over to watch a show, since you had the awesome five extra channels with cable.

The time a handheld was green/black and was awesome. (Or would have a COLOR screen but took four batteries every half an hour *g*)

Also the time children were playing outside having adventures... God, my nephews BORE me to death... no imagination. Just sitting at home playing "Going to work and build a road"

We had epic space adventures or archeological digs (with deathtraps) in the woods and fields around us.

DAMMIT, now i am all nostalgic again. CURSE YOU.

Of course, back then, snow was steam-powered.
Which is why you carried the shovel in your backpack. If we didn't shovel the coal, who would? The Communists?
Is a man not entitled to the coal of his brow? "No!" says the man in Moscow. "It belongs to everyone."

Err...wait...that's not right.

I remember a day when phones were used for calling people. Nope, now I can call someone, text them, send them a video I made ON THE PHONE, do my taxes, make a sandwich, jump-start my car, find the nearest diner, and run a small country FROM MY DAMN PHONE.

I remember when Star Wars was actually good before the second trilogy (but don't get me wrong. I like it, too. Just the first better. Contradicting, I know).
EDIT: I also remember dial-up. I don't miss it, I just remember it.

Cartoons used to be funny when I was growing up. Have you turned on the TV lately?

Also things were built to last, not built to outlast the warranty by two minutes.

You do realize that Trix were round to start with and only became fruit-shaped in 1992, don't you?

The only thing that really makes me feel old is when my little sister (born in 1987, nine years younger than me and still older than most of you freaks) complains of feeling old.

Batman the animated series
Indeed. A quiet moment of respect and reverence, please.

Now then, who wants to play Arkham Asylum?
Ooo, me! Anything to hear Mark Hamill as the scariest son of a ***** from my childhood. As much as I like pretty much every guy whose done the Joker, Hamill just had the laugh down cold, and the voice was pretty damn perfect.

Agreed. He was the very best Joker in this poster's humble opinion. Everyone on B:TAS was voiced to perfection, I thought.

I remember when you actually had to memorize numbers or have a Rolodex. I remember a time before that *twitch* recording of a woman on *twitch* voicemail *twitch*.

Back in my day we didn't have "checkpoints" or "save states".

WE HAD PASSWORDS LONGER THAN TREATISES ON NUCLEAR PHYSICS!
