Oh the internet where sheer luxury, back in my day we didn't even have the internet or fancy computers, you'd get your news off of dodgy men in the street and gather round with your friends trying to guess cheat codes for games and secrets we'd all found. Ahhh but we were happy.

I remember when toys actually came in the cereal boxes. Now you send in the box top with money for shipping and handling. WTF?

This may be just me, but I remember Hostess cupcakes tasting freaking fantastic when I was a kid. I tried one recently and just spit it out, cause it was so awful and chemical tasting.

And it cost something like four bucks to get a dozen donuts. And there were no Mocha, Ice-Caps, or mint flavoured anything. You had Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Tea, and that's just the way we liked it gosh darn it. Now get off my lawn!

I remember David the Gnome, Eureka's Castle, the Muppet Show, Rescue Rangers, Ah! Real Monsters, that really weird live action show about the elephant or something...and when ramen noodles were god-like and it was a treat when we got to have them for lunch at home.

(Well, that Ramen thing hasn't changed--just, now I'm in college and I make them myself and I have them whenever I want.)

I remember playing Wizards and Warriors and loving it! I loved that game! It got to be where on the level where you go to the castle, I had memorized where all the stones that moved were.

The original Castlevania. Metroid and Mario. And hating the turtles that threw axes at you. Kid Icarus, Tetris--where you could have one of three songs playing in the background. Either In the Hall of the Mountain King, that Mexican sounding song and--whatever the other one was.

I remember AOL 3.0 for Windows 95 when my step-dad got our first computer. Foul dial-up.

I remember when cell phones were these curious, bulky things that only hard-core business people owned.

Oh, children, when I was young, you could take your little sister to a matinee and get popcorn and it would all have been $10. And there was no PG-13. It was either PG or R. You could go down to the video rental place and rent a VCR and some betamax tapes. Did anybody ever make a mixed tape for their romantic interest? By taping individual songs from two tape decks, with an occasional song from the radio if one got lucky? I had a tape I carried with me for nearly a decade because I'd recorded Pull me Under by Dream Theater from the radio.

Ah, those were the days.

Man, I miss playing Pokemon all day, and everyone else had Pokemon, so if I wanted to play Pokemon with them I could, and it was fun, and yeah.

Also, I really miss that Star Wars cereal. And Beyblades. Those were freaking awesome. I pwned everyone.

Ha, you young 'uns. Back in my day, you had to fight off the Visigoths every time you went to school. And schools weren't these namby-pamby affairs they are now, oh no...

Good to see a fellow Canadian. For anyone who hasn't been to Canada, that sentence made you sound like you were on some serious drugs. "Toonie" for bits of Tim....

Well I don't think I get the rite to post here as I'm around 15 years old. Though things have deffinitely changed in the time I've been around. One thing anyone can boast though, is seeing the first black president of the united states being elected. I was in school during the inaguration speach, and even though I am in Canada, my entire class aswell as two others all crouded around a old t.v to watch it. It was really funny actually, we had to make rabit ears on the t.v just to get the news channel, and the t.v was so small everyone could barely see. We eventually got a computer with a live stream on the projector screen though.
oh man i had to watch it to. and im canadian as well. unfortunately i was in my SOCIAL STUDIES class at the time so we got the full rundown from ma teach.
me being 17 seems rather young but i remember when all we had were landlines....no texting or anything. I also remember when Canada was nicer....

I remember back when that periodic table only had four elements and we all worshipped the skull a woolly mammoth

Let's not forget that getting music was more complex back then. Who'd prayed for the D.J to not talk when he plays the song you want?

In 23 hours and... 42 minutes, I officially hit my late 20s.

I remember when there were tan M&Ms. Tan. And brown. Two shit-colored candies for the price of one. Then they ditched the tan M&Ms and invented the blue ones. But does anyone else weep for the tan M&Ms?
