What are some Games that got universally bad ratings that you actually had fun with?

Me-Shadow the Hedgehog, I thought the guns were fun.

Brink was pretty fun, for a while anyways. Then all the maps got boring and repetitive.

There was this N64 game, called Dual Heroes.

Apparently a lot of people thought it was the worst game ever made.

I quite enjoyed it. Still have it, in fact.

I don't know the rating Army of Two got, but I had lots of fun playing the First one.

Big Rigs Over the Road racing.
So bad it's hilarious.

Best part is that you can't lose, the opponent never leaves the starting gate.

Two Worlds. It's the standard fantasy action rpg, but it was such an unintentional comedy of errors that I just fell in love with it.

I'm going to go with the old Pokemon games. I know a lot of newer gamers complain about the lack of action, but I loved them back when I was a kid.

Modern Warfare 2 singleplayer. The sniping bits, and the part where you defend a building from attackers, were actually kind of fun.

Is that an example of what you can do with 10$ and a One person team?

Star Trek Legacy (Xbox 360).

I have to say I don't actually think it's bad, just everyone else does. I also like the tactical assault one on DS. And I don't even like Star Trek (except for maybe three of the movies). So maybe you have to not be a fan to appreciate them as games.

Godhand. Seriously all the big game review sites hated it, but I loved it. And everyone I know loves it too. (That is to say, everyone that I know that has played it loves it.)

Touch Detective on the DS. It got critically panned across the board, but it's actually a really good point and click adventure game on the DS with great characters, great writing, clever stories, very impressive 3D models for DS, and a nice soundtrack. So why did it get critically bashed? I blame it on the fact that it was one of the first point and click adventure games during the re-birth of the genre, around the same time as Sam and Max and Ace Attorney, and I'll be the first to admit the actual gameplay was a bit rough around the edges on your first playthough since a lot of the things you needed to do or find weren't too intuitively laid out. Some objects you had to find were REALLY easy to miss, and quite reasonably could be thought to just be part of the background. So I guess compared to Sam and Max/Ace Attorney, the gameplay wouldn't be as good as those ones.

It's a shame though, cause once you get past the somewhat poor game design, it's a REALLY well written/funny game. Check it out sometime and be patient. Most people who have actually taken the chance and played it end up really liking it. It has a REALLY small cult following, but trust me when I say it's a cult worth joining.
