Hm, I really enjoyed Resident Evil: Outbreak, even though it got terrible reviews and that I could clearly see where it fell short.

...Then again, I like anything that has the word 'zombie' in it. ^_^

I've no idea how the gaming community viewed the game Overlord, but IMO its one of the better titles for the 360. I love the idea that im a badass right outta the gate. Theres very little room for adventure and expanding a personl affect on the world but suppresing a town and becoming the biggest badass possible is very fun

I have no clue why nobody liked Luigi's Mansion. Maybe because they were expecting a Mario game as the Gamecube's launch title. On that note, why do so many people hate on Super Mario Sunshine? Yes, it was very hard, but that's no reason to hate a game. I personally think that disliking a non-spinoff Mario game is a sin.

Final Fantasy XII. Everyone hates it here for some reason. They tried doing something new, and everyone hates them. I don't know.

Dark Sector, a great game that was horribly under rated because everyone thought it was a crappy Gears of War ripoff but was actually not much like it.

Back when I was about 7-8 I used to love the Spyro games. Mind you this was when I was kid and with hind sight and several Spyro games later I can see how wrong I was...

Mirror's Edge

Sure, it was weirdly frustrating that they made it all "trial and error", but the satisfaction when you finally pulled it off!

I suppose I get that mindset because I play Piano, and you always start from stratch with new peices (well, new peices at the grade you are, grades below are piss easy)

Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects

As long as you let your friend play the entire first person mode and unlock all the characters and all you have to do is come over to his house and beat the crap out of each other in 2 player mode, it's a perfectly kick-ass game. Although there was that afternoon spent smoking joints and listening to him whimper and ***** about how difficult the last levels were and how fucking lame the last three characters are and how he'd just wasted a month or so trying to unlock these assholes. Haven't played it since...

Rogue Trooper, big fan of the comic book character, game was still pretty cool to play in story mode, sucked balls in Multi-player though.

Doom 3 - Resurrection of Evil - It may well have just be more Doom 3, but I bloody well liked Doom 3, and having more of the same with a double-barrelled shotgun? Oh Hell yes. (Sorry.)
Final Fantasy VIII There was an article looking back at this [http://www.popmatters.com/pm/feature/70336-remembering-the-orphan-final-fantasy-viii/] that explains pretty much everything I like about this game. Plus, I thought the combat was surprisingly tactical for a FF game and I loved Triple Triad. Seriously.
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest It may have been a simplified game, but as an entry level game to the series, it could have been much worse.
Gun Sure the plot was a mess, and it got repetitive after a while, but something about the damned thing just wouldn't let me stop playing.
PoP - Warrior Within The PoP series is, to me, made up of three things. Platforming sections, combat areas, and rewinding time. I shall maintain to my dying day that, out of the entire series, Warrior Within is the best at all three.
Quantum of Solace The first Bond game I've not only enjoyed, and not only finished, but actually played through more then once. It's also the game that sold me on the seemingly industry-standard 'cover system'.
Sonic Unleashed I have the Wii version, played using a Gamecube controller, and while I understand other people disliking the Wolfhog sections, I didn't think they were all that bad. The speedy sections were awesome though. I still say Sega should make a WiiWare game consisting solely of those kinds of levels.
Super Mario Sunshine Even including the FLUDD, I thought it was better then SM64. Tighter controls, more freedom, better levels and those FLUDDless sections that really make you feel like a gaming god when you finally beat them. Or was that just me..?
Timeshift Take PoP:WW, put it in the first-person perspective, give yourself a bunch of weapons and replace everything Persian with something slightly futuristic. What have you got? No, not FEAR.

I always had a soft spot for Enter The Matrix. Something about the hacking minigame, and the combat was pretty good, if a little repetitive.
