Treating girls as somehow different than the rest of the community. It pisses me off and is really stupid.
I agree and it would help if people didn't make threads like; Why do people see female gamers as different they aren't special..etc

That really defeats the purpose. -.-

Fanboys of any breed. For some reason, there are people that will fight tooth and nail to 'defend' the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo, or PC with some wierd delusion that if their machine of choice is not at the top of every sales chart then their world will come to a horrible end.

It's ok to have an opinion people, but it's a really stupid thing to start a fight over. The 'Console War' was just Sega's advertising campaign, it DOESN'T REALLY EXIST.

Also take a step back and look at what you're doing, you are stalking someone's Facebook profile, posts on other people's walls and their XBL accounts.

Unless she's a total bonehead and awful person I don't understand the hate, no harm done with harmless flirting.
I feel I have to defend myself now - haha! Firstly, I never said I hated her (did I?!) I just said I was disappointed. I had thought "oo a girl gamer, interesting" and then:

a) when I went to add her on Live to be nice and try and bridge the iffyness, because we share a lot of mutual friends aside from my then boyfriend and we were hanging out a lot, I noticed. We're still friends on there *shrug* thats when I noticed - when I went to see what online games we could play together. Everyone does that right? I mean after her going on in person and online about all these FPS games she plays, yes, I was disappointed to find out she just doesn't really play (Kinectimals or whatever was an example - she's not even been on in months!) It felt like she was using the whole persona to guys and it just made me feel a bit like "eep"

b) I have her as a friend on FB too - because of mutual friends/hanging out. When she flirted with my boyfriend at the time, I wasn't stalking his profile, the only times I noticed was when I went to put a comment on his wall for example, or because they're both friends it comes up in my newstream. I have no time to stalk people - if they are going to cheat they cheat! Plus I'm a narcissist. I normally just look at mine ;) mwahaha.

c) and just FYI, harmless flirting I'm fine with - I didn't say a word about it and my then boyfriend told me when she asked him out and told him her feelings and I just let it slide. What's the point getting peeved? He had every chance to dump me and go out with her and that would have just been life (even though I would have been upset)

I think I've explained a bit more now haha. I do have friends who do EXACTLY what you suggest and as soon as a girl flirts with a guy (not even their bf for example) they flip out and search out everything about the girl. I simply just wanted to patch things up because things were getting awkward in the group, and the rest just cropped up.

Letting my controllers get dirty.

Don't tell me you've never seen a few flecks of grime in between the cracks of your lovely, white 360 controller.

In the defence of the unknown creepy lady; I myself haven't played my xbox for ages just becuase I don't really like playing on their that much. I'm totally crazy about games but there isn't a record anywhere of what I play mostly (some on Steam I guess?) So that could be the case with her.

Or she could just be mental.

When people throw away the cases or the manuals of the game, as a collecter I hate that. There's nothing quite like the feeling of finding a rare game in the wild, only to discover that only the disc remains.

Or when people fold the spine of a book and then complain when it falls apart.
I'm from Canada so I throw out the French version of the manual. Make no mistake, I always keep the case and the English manual, but sometimes I ask myself "Why am I throwing this out?" but then I remember that I don't speak French. Still, it feels weird of me to throw it out, because despite the language, I am still throwing out a manual.

I do throw out those sleeves that come on top of games, and I made a topic about it once and someone ate me out about it. IMO, those sleeves take up too much space, make my games inconvenient to access, offer nothing extra to the design of the game, and create inconsistencies in my library when looking at them from the side.
If they flipped about sleeves, they'd hate me, I usually launch the box / cd case and put games in a binder (although I always keep the manual).

That's what I had thought. It's weird, I'll log on facebook and in my main newstream there will be "So who's online tonight?! Add me *tag here* lets kick some ass on Black Ops!" and then I'll play that same night for like, 8 hours from 6pm - 2am and she won't have been on.

Maybe she's blocked me ;) in which case I take it all back!!! hahaha!

Getting too used to Quicksaving, Save-Anywhere, or Auto-Save.

It will just make you angry at games without it.

>_>

I kinda prefer save points, myself.
Ditto, because then when a game doesn't have quicksaving, somewhere in my mind I assume it does. That being said, if I get killed or something I'm thinking "oh no worries." and then I check and I'm basically waaaay back at the beginning again.

How quickscopers (this mostly applies to CoD) think they're better than EVERYONE and that they're retarded (I will backup the retard comment)
Ok say quickscopers say they are more skillful than you when you use your assault rifle or SMG. Yet the quickerscopers CONSTANTLY ***** about the fact the snipers aren't powerful. So if they were truly skillful why aren't they able to get headshots all the time? One last point.
Ever been in a private match quickscoping lobby?
The host will always set the health to minimum so you get one shot kills anywhere on the body once again defies the arguement that quickscopers are skillful.
my brother on mw2 or blops on xbox live constantly get challenged to quikscope matches with 12 year olds

Maybe not a habit but when I lived with my parents they always told me to pause online games. When you can't. I would ask for 5 minutes so the game can end and I can go to the lobby but they don't get that in online games even if you pause everyone keeps moving and scoring/killing.

I also don't like lending my games out and they come back in horrendous conditions. It's usually a game I don't play anymore and could care less about but I pride myself on my flawless disks and they always say "It was like that when I got it!" Sigh

PC gamer elitism.
"Grumble Grumble Skyrim* would be better if it was not on consoles, Why do we have to pander to 2005 tech whine whine "

Because console sales far outstrip PC sales and without, using the Skyrim example, the console sales of Oblivion/Fallout 3 there would be a good chance that BethSoft wouldn't be making Skyrim? Hows 'dem apples? Crunchy?

Of course not all PC gamers are like this, hell my gametime is 50/50 Xbox/laptop at the moment.
*or whatever
Oh good old PC gamers. "Pandering to you simple consoletards means the PC never gets any exclusives". No Mr PC gamer, the fact that you torrent so many of your games that it becomes completely uneconomical to release just for PC does that.

Note, I am not saying this is true of all PC gamers, I have a pretty decent gaming PC myself for which I buy games. However this is definitely true of all of the militants that I know.
i will say I do pirate games but only one that are no longer available in my country.
(baldurs gate 2 , nwn 1/2, Hearts of Iron III, Supcom FA)

These mainly apply to LANs

Making odd faces/sounds/movements when gaming.
Only playing a game for a short amount of time before wanting to move onto a differnet game.
Playing singleplayers games or rejecting most (normal the one everyone wants to play) games.
Cheating (well bugging and glitching).
Mic spam.
Click/button spam/mash during attacking(or anything) when that move can only be done once every x seconds.
Retarded stupidity (I know some people don't see some ways to slove an issue but redoing the same mistake over and over. So painful to watch) (I sometimes do it but I don't do it around people. I stop or ask for help/google.)

Okay this list could keep going. There are also habits I hate and I'm trying to stop them. I know no one is perfect. My friends drive me crazy with these.

As a fem-gamer, I hate it when girls use their wiles to cover up a lack of knowledge in games. As in, "HELLO. I PLAY GAMES KINDA SORTA, BUT I'M HOT SO LOOK HERE!" It's possible to be both good looking AND know your games, but it seems to be a trendy thing now-a-days that drives me up the wall and gives girls a bad name in games.

But guys might disagree..
Oh, I completely agree. In fact, I find it annoying when female gamers feel the need to advertise the fact that they are girls by having really obvious usernames, then finding a way to slip the fact that they are girls into almost everything they write just incase someone didn't notice. They could have an encyclopedia-like knowledge of games and it wouldn't be less annoying.
I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with SAYING you're a female gamer or having it in your name (obviously), would you feel the same if a guy had a name like "GamerDude"? It's really the same thing in this case. The fact that I state my gender is relevant to what I'm saying at the time. It's not in EVERY post, just where it matters: i.e talking about women.

this too! Remember playing as a team on AC multiplayer and getting the "oh we got a girly girl here, well if we lose it's your fault!"
then I killed three times as many as the rest of my team put together (smug feeling still makes me happy!)
Yess! Rock on! :]

Attacking the scenery for no reason. We all do it. No-one understands it. If it were real life, you'd be dragged off by the men in white coats if you punched walls and emptied clips into boulders.

And yet, if there's an idle or frustrating moment in a game, you know you'll be stood there, assaulting the unbreakable environment.
