Smoking a pipe and drinking scotch and imported/microbrewed beer.
Which ones would you recommend? I just picked up the LCBO local sampler pack, and I'm always on the lookout for new brews to try.

Anyways, I smoke, and I drink. I also procrastinate like a bastard but I'm working on that.

Thank you for the kind words (such as they were), but I had a heart attack at thirty---due largely to stress, since apparently the problem was not one of blocked arteries but of an arrhythmia gone horribly, nearly fatally wrong. The docs said "the only thing we can think of is stress---have you been having a lot of work stress?" I laughed and said "Care to put that in writing so I can literally tell my boss he's been killing me?"
Neato (obligatory "Did it hurt?"). Every now and then I get palpitations and think "This is probably just the caffeine..." with the small shadow of a doubt my heart may explode (quite graphically) at any moment.
Did it hurt? Like a *****, actually. My blood pressure dropped precipitously and my brain didn't forgive me for three days afterward. I had the kind of headaches that made me think I was a death and revival away from getting smacked in the head with a cricket bat by Simon Pegg.

And there's a big difference between "I need to switch to decaf" and "what do you mean I passed out for twenty minutes? You mean it wasn't three seconds like my brain's trying to tell me? And why am I in Northern Nevada Medical Center with tubes sticking out of me? Have I been assimilated?"

I pick my nose and eat it. Yes, I'm being totally honest, it's a weird habit/addiction I've had since I was four, then when I went to a doctor he actually said that studies have shown that it might be a natural human instinct and that it actually helps my immune system (search it on Google if you want) I do it when no one is looking however.

Yes I know, it's disgusting to hear, and I think other peoples boogers look disgusting, except for my own. But hey it's a habit.
I do that too.

Using the computer too much. Oh and all nighter. Gotta stop them both.

I'm a procrastinator. I keep telling myself I have to fix this problem, but then I just think, "meh, I'll get on that eventually".

A truly vicious cycle.

I also pull all-nighters (mostly cuz of the procrastination though...)

I have some bad habits, but whenever I think of quitting them I think to myself:"Fuck that, I'm no quitter!" So what bad habits do you have that you aren't quitting? I crack my knuckles, neck, and back.
Actually, I've been told by my doctor that cracking your knuckles helps to prevent arthritis because the crack noise is just escaping air.

OT: Procrastination. I am so good at it, its become a skill for me.

I...um...eat candy.

That's bad, right?
you are definitely going to hell.

Me? I like to crack different part of my body, I don't know if it's a bad habit or not, or even if it has any consequences.

But I don't plan on quitting anytime soon

EDIT: Oh, and I procrastinate A LOT, I can't do ANYTHING with a deadline too soon, nearly always hand things in late, and do EVERYTHING last minute.

I am aware of all this, but I simply cannot stop myself. I am going on camp this evening for a weekend, and was supposed to have packed my bag 2 days ago.

I plan on doing it tonight.

Yeah man. I like discussing my favorite brews with fellow beer aficionados.

I'm on a bit of an Alberta Big Rock bender at the moment (not sure if they count as a microbrewery anymore, they're fairly big). The 15-can mix pack is a bit pricey, but every beer (you get five varieties) except the Light Lime, is absolutely delicious. I swear that Honey Brown is the best I've ever had, though it is a bit sweet if you're not into that.

Another local fav is Beau's Organic, but as far as I know, you can only really get it in the Ottawa/Montreal area. From what I've read, they've made their way to Toronto as well (not sure where you are). The pricing is decent, at four 600ml bottles for about fifteen bucks and their Lug Tread beer is a rather crisp lagered ale, which is kind of unique. The unfortunate part is, they've become popular so they are easier to find in the local bars then in the Lick-bo, as shipments sell out quickly. They have a couple seasonals that they mess around with each year, but I've never tried them. Probably my current favorite.

Another one to look out for is Granville Island, from BC, though I'm not sure if they've made their way out to Ontario yet. I tried a few varieties from another mix pack when I was out there this summer, and I was impressed. I found that the Granville Island Lager was especially good.

For Toronto beers, if you haven't already, check out Steam Whistle, which is a bit iconic now and is a punchy pilsner and Mill Street Original Organic, also a pilsner. Both good choices, the Mill Street being especially smooth and tasty, even though it has a tendency to leave a bit of a bad aftertaste. Mill Street has other brands too, but I've only had the Tankhouse Ale once or twice. Last I heard, they had opened up a brewpub too.

If you have any suggestions, toss them my way.

I have a handful of bad habits I can't quit, but I can only think of one that I'm intentionally sticking to: eating whatever I want (assuming I can afford it). I probably ought to eat more healthily but I enjoy food too much to diet.

Staying up too late when I have to get up in the morning. I do this almost every night, say "Never again" every morning, have a bunch of coffee throughout the day to stay awake, and repeat the next night. I blame the internet.
This and a thousand times this.
I don't need much sleep to feel rested to begin with, but I can't seem to be happy with that.
