The last few levels of Condemned 2, I was really enjoying it, then it just went to pot.

Gta: Vice City - The race with 'the Driver', possibly the most frustrating thing in a game ever.

The 'stealth' parts in The Getaway. Would have been alright if the 'detection programming' wasn't horribly broken.

For me I'd have to say the water temple in Ocarina of Time. It was just too damn hard for a 10 year old to figure out.
I went back to my N64 about a year ago to play some retro games, and that was one from my back catalogue. My friends and I always used the phrase 'Water Temple' to describe something that was impossible to do. I never got what it was from, until suddenly it dawned on me. I knew it was a gaming reference, but it only clicked when up on the screen came the message, "Water Temple". It felt like I'd been punched in the chest, and I took longer completing that section than it has ever taken me to complete any other, in any other game.

Water Temple in Twilight Princess. I dunno why everyone hated the one in Ocarina of Time, I did that one hands down easy.

Through The Fire And Flames on Expert in Guitar Hero III.
I tried it just for fun, and dear god. I didn't even complete 1% before failing. That was just stupid, they went over the freakin' top with that level. Speaking of Expert in Guitar Hero III, the mode in general is kinda bad. I mean, what the HELL!? I've only got up to Rock and Roll All Nite, and that just pulls some bitchy tricks. Like, having all these green/red chords, and suddenly having ONE SINGLE ORANGE. And then it goes back to green/red! What the hell!?

I love MGS4 to bits, but I thought in Act 2 when you are trying to destroy the gate, I thought the 'gate bit' seemed a bit out of place. Kind of halts the flow when you have to fill it with a gazillion heavy duty bullets.

Master Quest version was allot easier than the original. I always imagined that they couldn't think of a way to make it harder.

Personally I'm voting for the skateboarding section in Turtles in Time on the SNES. God, that was horrible.

Halo 2 when you fight Tartarus. First of all: Halo has never ever had boss fights, and then they throw one in there. Second: you end the game playing as the Arbiter. Master Chief should be the one with the last word (I guess he is in the last cutscene, but you know what I mean).

Also...

Definatley In Oblivion. It just sucks being a low lvl.
Everything levels with you in Oblivion... so how can it suck? I beat the entire main quest as a level 5 character. It makes the Bruma battle a lot easier.

i would say my biggest let down was the final boss in Persona 3. They built the story up like it was going to be this epic and impossible fight, but it was one of the easiest in the game. Or maybe i was just overpowered, as i was maxed out in almost every aspect of the word lol.

Ahaha, I'd forgotten about that. I haven't played that game in a LONG time.

Also, any mission in any RTS where you have to build up a base and destroy an enemy base under a time limit (off the top of my head, I'm thinking the "kill Illidan's summoners" mission in WC3: TFT).

The driving level in Gears of War was maddening when my friend and I played through it for the first time on Hardcore. It took us at least two dozen tries. Then we beat it on our first try on Insane. We still hated it though.

And in Army of Two: -Whenever anyone was talking
-Those asinine back-to-back sections
-Those asinine parachute sections
-Those asinine "conspiracy theory" arguments (see point 1)
-Those asinine invincible-from-the-front guys
-Those asinine hovercraft driving sections
-Those asinine boss battles
-The asinine plot, characters, and gameplay.
