Rhapsody split up? Shiiiyat.

SOAD probably, all the other bands I like are still touring. Also, wanting to see the Beatles live is kinda missing the point.
Did Rhapsody break up? I thought they were still together, but as far as I know, they never toured the US.
Apparently they have been on hold since 2008. Whatever that means.

I am dissapointed by the lack of Queen.

Given a half-convincing pitch for a time machine project I would invest all my dosh into it for a chance to see Freddie Mercury live. The man was and still is a legend.
Agreed. I'll have to add Queen to my list.

Isn't it the worst that you start liking a band and they don't exist anymore?

Well, there was a 50 Cent concert in the city, once.
A friend of mine went, got lost, and managed to meet Fitty.
I only wish I could have been there to see her face.
She loved 50 Cent.

Aside from that, I think there might have been a Green Day concert a while back.
I didn't go because I'd be going by myself, and that would be lame.
Really, really lame.

Exactly the same thing I was going to write. Unfortunately for all of us this will never ever happen. :(

Missed out on the Flobots recently.

And I was all up for seeing Incubus tour Light Grenades until I actually bought the album...

And I would be right in line behind you at the ATM to wring my bank account dry for that same chance!

Bands I'll never get to see that I wish I could have:
Queen
CCR
Beatles
Petra (one of the two biggest names in 80s Christian Rock)

Concerts I missed that I wish I had money for/knew about/could convince my bonehead friends to take me:
Metallica
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
U2
Weird Al
Dragonforce (call my friend Nolan to see what he was up to and if he wanted to hang out because I was free for the evening, and he says, "Oh sorry man, I can't. I'm at the Dragonforce concert." At which point I had to think very hard about whether or not I wanted to be his friend anymore)

And one or two concerts that I got to see that I'm really glad I did:
Rush (first time they played Winnipeg in something like 26 years and my friend gave me one of his free tickets)
The Guess Who (their cross-Canada reunion tour. Saw them in Brandon, MB which was awesome.)

Doesn't Trans-Siberian Orchestra tour every year around Xmas time? Could always just see them this year, right? I mean, at least they tour here in the Northeast every year.

Well since im not eighteen I'm not gonna get to go to any concerts for a while except AC/DC next year by cross country.
Bands i am gonna miss/have missed because of this bs
Arch Enemy
Trivium
Probably Slayer when WPB comes out

Bands I have missed because of my imcompetence
Slipknot
Disturbed (This)
Lamb Of God (dont really care)
Suicide Silence
Iron Maiden (how could I miss the beast)

Bands that I will miss because they hate Australia
Metallica

I am so moving to America or England. Or at least to the eastern Australian states.

EDIT : I was invited to Lamb Of God by a good female friend of mine. When I said no I invited her to Trivium to which at that point she decided I hate Lamb Of God and she hates Trivium.

Gorillaz, Gnarls Barkley, Mindless Self Indulgence, Weird Al. Yes. Weird Al. He's my hero. I'm missing a buncha bands but, I might remember 'em later. Nevertheless, I get mad when I miss things like Warp Tour and Bamboozled (Here in Jersey) cause either I'm busy with work or no one to go with. It's hard finding friends that my varied genres of music. Le sigh.

Rage Against The Machine... well, I didn't like it. The songs tended to blend into each other, I thought they were one-trick-ponies. The rest of the crowd seemed to disagree with me though.
they are a one trick pony, that trick was their first album, the funny part is they became the machine they raged against and a pack of sellouts

as for bands i didn't get a chance to see

Nirvana
Pantera
White Zombie/Rob Zombie (tho i do know Rob will tour every once in a while)
Nitzer Ebb
Download
Anthrax (with Joey)
Curve
Sisters of Mercy
Faith No More

there are other bands but they still tour or are together

Pink Floyd is very lacking. I've only seen one person mention them.
Queen w/ Freddie Mercury
The Who
the original Lynyrd Skynyrd
Jimi Hendrix
Anthrax circa "Caught in a Mosh"
Megadeth w/ Marty Friedman

I'd say Iron Maiden, but there is still a chance to see them.

Why.. why would you do that no How... How could you do that?
Type O Negative was opening for them and that's who we all went to see. Everyone I was with at that concert didn't care for them so we left after thier first song. Funny part is they were doing "Walk" when we walked.

I've seen them a couple times before that so to me it wasn't too big of a deal. One of the best concerts I've been to was Sepultura with Pantera as one of thier opening bands. There was a huge brawl between the Pantera fans and the Sepultura fans cutting the concert short. Sepultura only played two songs. Sucked a little because they were the ones I was mainly there to see since I'd never seen them before, but boy was it funny.

Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana.

Oh, how I wish I could live in the time they were alive...and that I didn't live in a place where nothing interesting happened.

Yeah, they do. In fact, this thread prompted me to check out their website, and they've announced a concert date in my area. Last year was the first time they'd been here, though, which at the time made me concerned that it was a one-shot deal.
