You all have to have one band you love and everyone hates. Why do you hate the it/them?
Personally I never got into or liked:
The Beatles - they were British, they pushed rock forward a bit, they were average. I never saw the appeal of them. I thought their lyrics (with the exception of Imagine and Come Together) were just average, Syd Barrett level. I also lost a lot of respect for them after learning how they changed every aspect of their band to get a record deal.
DubStep - I enjoy techno, but it seems like every ten years it reforms as a less creative version of itself. Now we get WOMPWOMP "Transformers Quote" WOMPWOMP
Green Day - claimed to be punk, but was guitar based pop at best. Horrid band in general.
My Chemical Romance - Apparently it's awesome to rip off The Wall for an album and music video (Teenagers ripped off In The Flesh/Run Like Hell from Pink Floyd's The Wall) and it's also cool to cover The Misfits and turn alien invasions into whiny teens.
AC/DC - I'm on a Highway to Hell...now take the same riff, change the lyrics, do this for every song.
Metallica (only Kill 'Em All) - I never saw the appeal to Kill 'Em All. Beyond that album, I have loved every Metallica album and song. Ever since Kill 'Em All they have improved in virtually every way.....except for Enter Sandman, which is easily their worst song.
