Avenged Sevenfold, its not so much that they sold out but the fact that once they did their music became awful.

Nicleback, pretty self explanatory, they seemed like a really good band when i was a young teen but yeah i grew out of em.
Or as Mike Nelson says, "You mean Nickleback is a BAND? I thought it was a derogatory term!"

Yes infact I have just decided that I like Katy Perry even after going on about why I hate her and how awful she is for ages, don't ask why.

I used to like Avenged Sevenfold and Atreyu. They just had to sell out. Bastards.

Wait, when did they sell out? Hell, A7X just dedicated their last album to their dead drummer, the ever-incredible Rev.

OT: There aren't many bands I just stopped listening to, other than the popular Linkin Park. Drowning Pool is headed that way for me, this last album left them on thin ice with me.

Michael Jackson - "Thriller" was the first album I ever owned. Still like some of his music on a casual basis but not nearly the fan I used to be.

Eagles - used to be a HUGE fan. Saw them live once too. Once I started to seriously play guitar though, I outgrew them from that standpoint.

Listen to Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen, and then listen to City of Evil (which also is their first major label debut). They sold out. Big time.

Shhhhh. We don't talk about City of Evil. It never happened. I much prefer Avenged Sevenfold and Nightmare to Wake the Fallen and Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.

Avenged Sevenfold and Nightmare still suck. The only good thing about the band still is they have god like guitarists and had a god like drummmer, and now they got an even MORE god like of a drummer. I still think the dude from Dream Theater could find a better band to play in.

I used to not like MCR... then I liked them... and now I don't. Indecisive, eh?

A pretty simple thread premise. Are there any bands you used to like but for some reason (either because of the band or your own) you drifted away from them. For instance, I used to really like Linkin Park, the first 2 albums anyway, because after that they simply changed styles. I liked them originally because of how different they were and now they just sound like every generic pop/rock band out there.

The opposite also applies. Any bands you used to hate but now like?

I agree completly. I used to love Linkin Park, especially the first albums. But I do not know what the h*** happened. Their music is just so boring novadays.

I used to be freaking OBSESSED with Disturbed. I bought all of their albums, shirts, everything.

Then after Indestructible was released, I quit listening to them because they hardly ever innovated or mixed things up.

I guess over-saturation is a bad thing...

3 Doors Down. Kryptonite and Citizen/Soldier are the only songs I still like listening to.

Muse. I'm sorry, but Resistance was garbage. Uprising, Resistance, and MK Ultra are pretty good, but the rest of it is just...nothing.

I used to love them, but they are going to have to make one hell of an album next time out to get me listening again.

When I was about 12/13 I used to fucking love McFly.
I just stopped listening to them... I think I grew out of their music.
I still respect them as artists though.

Hilary Duff.

Say anything here and DIE.

As for the reverse, I couldn't stand System of a Down at first... They're fun to listen to now.
