Hello all!

I just finished playing the Xbox 360 demo through for the third time and it is fucking amazing! I'm interested in what other people have to say about it as well though.

However I also have a question. In the title screen, under the New Game button, there is a greyed out button that says Challenge Mode. I can't select it, so I was wondering if the developers were planning on releasing it later in the demo or if this is just the real start screen of the final full game and the creators just didn't bother to make a new start screen for the demo. At first I thought it might be something that would be unlocked once you had completd the main demo, but no luck. Is anybody able to shed any light on the situation?

Cheers

It's on PS3 also y'know :D

And it is AWESOME. This will work, I can feel it.

As for challenge mode: It's a set of challenges (Obviously) and I don't think it's in the demo.

I loved it, combat is great and stealth is very satisfying. I especially love the feeling of power as that last guy at the very end gets so terrified that he starts shooting randomly.

"Damn Boilers!"
Had me cracking up for minutes on end.

Sick.. I know.
Not to mention the Joker's dialogue like "Behind you! Just kidding!" is very fitting.

I tried the PS3 demo that we've been playing at work for several weeks now. The graphics are granier than I would expect from a next-gen game, but the gameplay was fun. Nothing special though. Was hoping the demo is just work in progress still. Asuming so.

Hmm just played the demo on steam and it works really well judging by the specs i though it'd run like shit. Now i have a dilemma keep up the preorder for the 360 or change it for the pc version.

Aside from if the demo is a good reflection on the actual game i'm impressed!

Demo!!!

Cool because I just got interested about this game pretty much today.

I thing something like this is all about longevity. A 8-hour polished ride is still just an 8-hour ride.

I thing Lair suffered greatly from this.

Stick with the 360 version! That way you can be certain that there will be no performance issues.

I played it 5 times already. I still have not tired of it. I wish it had come with at least one challenge room though, so I have to reset checkpoint at the very last part to experiment with the stealth.

I loved the graphics and art direction, and the combat felt forceful and satisfying. The stealth was marvelously done as well, with the enemies almost shitting their pants at the sight of you after you've picked off several of their buddies. The only thing that bugged me was the lip syncing, it just seemed a bit wooden, but that is overall a minor complaint.

Great demo, looking forward to the full game.

I love doing an inverted takedown on someone, then using a Batarang to slice the rope as the others get close.

And now I have something new to try. Does it stun them if he lands on them?

Hmmm... since my 360 is currently bricked I thought I'd play the demo on my PS3, but I just can't find the damn demo! Is my own personal retardation so powerful that it could have altered my visual output of the PSN? Or are there some settings I don't know about that need tweaking in order for my console to even display the demo download...? HELP!!!

Haven't got one to land on them yet. Let me know if you manage it though.

It should show up on the PSN store where the rest of the stuff shows up. If not, try going into the A-Z game list. If it's not there, it's possible it's not up in your country yet. Where do you live?

I'm impressed with the graphics and the free-flow combat.
And hanging behind someone upside-down is just too damn funny. :p

I'm actually kind of excited about this game.

I've played the "survival" mode a bit at Walmart and seen a few game play videos. It was okay, but I rarely use a Play Station so the controls screw me up. Since it was survival it was just fighting with no stealth, so it got pretty boring pretty fast. The combos were fun though and it felt smooth, you could attack an enemy and when your combo was done you could then kick off of them and land on another enemy. The Joker's comments were genuinely funny and made me laugh a little. Although the enemy's are supposed to react realistically they are pretty stupid in some ways. Ohh, they have active conversations in combat and out of it, (at least in game play videos)they act emotionally realistic, and they are actively strategic, they tear pipes from walls if they are unarmed. The failure is that in combat they take turns attacking you. It's a rare time when they are working together. They usually stand around and take turns hitting you. Ironically the best parts of the game are when they attack you all at once. They slow a bit during punches and your bat sense (or something...) tells you when they're about to attack so it gives you the feel that you are much more "1337" then them. It's like finishing a rift in guitar hero flawlessly, you feel great!
